Ok, it seems that every thread its getting spammed with Lesnar talk, so if you wanna discuss Lesnar, please do it here.
Like him or not, it seems right now he is what people wanna talk about.
This is how I see it:
The Lesnar lovers, think he is the greatest fighter of all the time, even tho he has only won 3 fights in the UFC and has not beaten a top Heavyweight yet. Herring is good and tough, but I dont think he has ever been a contender for any World Title. He beat Couture and even tho he is a legend, the truth is, the man is 45 years old. Still, in that fight Lesnar got swiped by him and I still believe that if it wasnt for a lucky punch, Couture would have won...but thats something that we'll never know, so I guess it's bs talk. Just 2 days ago, he beat Mir...ok, Mir is good and all, but he hasn't been considered a top heavyweight in years. When I say Top Heavyweight, I mean no one has ever tought that Mir could ever beat someone like Fedor, Big Nog or Barnett. Beating 3 guys shouldn't give you all this praises...yes he did well, yes he is good, but comon to call him unbeatable is absurd.
The lesnar haters, will not give him credit even tho he is the UFC Champion and has won 3 out of the four fights he has had in the UFC. He destroyed Mir in his last fight as well. He looks unstoppable at times and his strenght is super human it seems. The guy is still young and can only improve, thats a scary thing. Also his wrestling is without a doubt one of the best in the sport right now. People that say he has no chance of beating Fedor are delusional (me included I guess lol) because anyone can be beat and especially when that "anyone" faces a guy as big and strong as Lesnar.

Do you have a reason not to give The Half Boy your vote for the Hall of Fame?
Well. I'll say this. I think he is a draw to UFC big time. I don't watch any MMA generally speaking, but I have gone out of my way to watch all of Lesnars fights. Granted I am a WWE Fanboy, but he is a draw.
As far as his skill? It's tough for me to say since I only watch the PPV's that I see with Lesnar in them and I think there are some people out there that can beat him, but I also think that he is an absolute tank and one intimidating mofo.
I will leave this thread to more logical and articulate MMA fans, but I think overall he is great for MMA.
Lesnar has his size and he has been sticking to a good game plan.
He has good wrestling skills but I think Couture could beat him if he had another chance and I think Big Nog would beat him.
He will not knock Nog out. Nog would let him wear himself out and then get him in a submission.

There are also "down the middle" fans. I don't think Lesnar is great or terrible. I think he's proven to be a good fighter who is difficult to handle when he can fight to his strengths, but has yet to show that he's a complete fighter. Because of those strengths, he could potentially dominate the UFC HW division for a long time if he can push most fights to where his strengths lie.
I don't like what he did after the fight, in regards to getting into Mir's face, but I also don't detest him for it. I can see the value of what he was doing and how it will likely help the UFC.

I thought this was going to be a serious thread? Who was calling him the greatest fighter of all-time?? Some fuckhead WWE fanboy? Yeah.. those people are really worth discussing.. >.> .. But truth be told, those people are about as stupid as the people who claim Fedor is a God, unstoppable force, mythical figure.. that old fairy tale. It goes both ways, dude.
I'm not a Lesnar lover. Do I like the guy? eh.. he's whatever to me. But I am interested in his fights as are many other people..he's a huge draw.. and I do think he's improved dramatically over hsi last three fights. What exactly is a top heavyweight? Herring was very experienced and had a lot of nice victories on his resume.. It's fine to call Couture an old man now but that same old man beat the shit out of Tim Sylvia prior to the Lesnar fight..
where am I going with this? Well.. I'll tell you. The same people who think Couture is an old man because Lesnar beat him were all over Fedor's nuts when he wrecked Sylvia in record time. So, obviously.. there's a double standard here. If anyone is biased, it's the Sherdog pricks who will find any way they can to praise Fedor and anyway they can to discredit Lesnar.
What Lesnar has done over his first five fights is AMAZING... I don't see how there's any denying that.
You and Dak have already made it very clear that you don't like the guy and it's clouding both of your's judgment in rating his performances.
Again.. if Lesnar were to fight Fedor tomorrow.. Fedor would win the fight. Too much experience, too much guile, in his prime, dangerous in the stand up and on the ground.. etc.. etc.. HOWEVER.. the fight if it were to happen will not be for another who knows.. two years? maybe? so who really gives a crap? Lesnar could very well be a lot more polished then than he is now.. but we'll just have to wait and see.

How did I make it clear that I don't like him?
By saying he relies on his size and wrestling ability?

Man, this is a great idea for a thread, but I doubt it will make all that much difference to be honest.
I am personally a Brock fan. I was in WWE and I am now. I've been watching UFC since before he arrived, and I'll be watching the sport of MMA well after he's left, but Brock in my opinion is hugely important to the growth of the sport.
Brock Lesnar as a fighter is limited, his wrestling is great (of course) and his size is pretty phenomenal but other than that he's got nothing. As a fighter, he sucks... But he's constantly improving. I never saw his first fight, but I saw his first UFC fight, and Mir was lucky Mazagatti didn't call it a good twenty seconds earlier in Brock's favour because he was pretty much out. Brock made a rookie mistake and he got caught, he admits it, and he was gracious in defeat.
Then he faced Herring and he got blasted from all sides, fans and fighters alike saying he didn't have what it took to make it in the UFC. So he took it to him, he dominated a vetran, who yes, was never going to be a great in the sport, but is a workhorse nonetheless and was a challenge for such a young and inexperianced fighter. Brock's strategy worked, and he used his size and powert to control his opponent. He used his wrestling and threw in some striking, and when he knew he had the win, he showboated because he'd proved all his critics wrong. The thing is, all his critics then said, "Well, Herring was never top flight" forgetting that this was only Brocks third fight, so why exactly should he be facing top flight contenders?
His fight with Randy for the Heavyweight Title should've shut his critics up. You wanted top flight, here is the champion of the division of the biggest MMA company in the world today, and he just got beat by a pro-wrestler, and not by decision like with Herring, but TKO... "Oh, but Randy's in his mid-forties". Wait, what? You weren't saying that when Randy faced Tim Sylvia to win the Title in the first place. It was all, "Oh my God! It's like a real life Rocky story", and Brock even showed true respect to a legend in the sport by ignoring the boo's and praising the fighter he beat. He showed true class to a man who had shown him respect, rather than bitched and moaned about facing a pro-wrestler in the cage.
And next came Mir again. The rematch to avenge Lesnar's only loss, or prove Mir's dominence in MMA. Mir is a former Heavyweight Champion and possibly the best ground man in the UFC's Heavyweight Division, as well as in the best shape of his career. He got beat on the ground... But Mir isn't top flight either. He's past it. Hold on a second, you mean the same Frank Mir that you all said would beat Lesnar, just like he did last time? No, surely not? Sure, Brock's heel promo after ruffled some feathers, but anyone can see that he was cutting a promo on the fans that were booing him. They wanted an arsehole, so he gave them one... And Dana White is pissing his pants with glee that the fans have a guy they can pay him to hate.
There's no debating that Brock isn't a well-rounded fighter. His strikes standing up are pretty weak given his size, and he has shown zero submission skill thus far, but as long as he can take guys down, avoid the submissions they throw at him and beat them to a pulp like he did Mir and Randy, I can't see anyone beating him within the current UFC Heavyweight Division.
So, what's next for Lesnar? Everyone says that Big Nog will stop him... Let's wait and see what happens, but I'll put money on the likelihood that if Nog loses that fight, every single Brock hater will proclaim that Big Nog's old, and past it, and not top flight anymore. Just like Randy. Just like Mir.

By saying he relies on his size and wrestling ability?
You mean like how GSP relied on his wrestling ability because he COULD and didn't see fit to go toe-to-toe with a skilled striker in Alves? ... It's an insane argument. Why wouldn't you do whatever it takes to put yourself in the best position to win a fight?
I've really given up on hating Lesnar for his in ring work, You can't deny that.
I don't have to like everything he does, and although I don't run the UFC (much to Blitz' dismay) I find things like the end of the Mir fight where he got in Mirs face after just being KO'd disgusting.
However hes the best Heavyweight the UFC has to offer, anyone thinks otherwise is a blind hater. I just he doesn't piggy back on GSP's cards again .

piggy back? lol.. don't worry.. I'm sure Lesnar's next fight will sell just fine.
And while we're on it.. why is everyone dismissing Brock's press conference after the event? He apologized, said he was caught up in the moment, emotional..etc.. did you even watch it?
