Our Twitter buddy Shane Carwin let some of his true feelings about Brock Lesnar be known after last night's showing at UFC 100. While "Darwin" Carwin had been trying to play things pretty close to the vest about potential future heavyweight match-ups, it seems like Lesnar's complete lack of respect for everyone within the range of his vision during last night's main event rubbed him the wrong way. He went into greater detail on his website:
The flipping off of the fans that just lined your pocket with millions of dollars is just LAME. He may be a Champion but he has a long ways to go before he earns the respect of a Champion. The fans are why we do this Brock, this sport is not about fat paychecks and drama it is about hard work and sacrifice for a shot to do what you did last night. It doesn't matter how much money you make if you can't earn your peers respect and the respect and love of the greatest sporting fans in the world. We have no scripts in this sport, no pre-determined earning amount and no pre-determined outcomes. It doesn't matter if you win or loose it matters how you win or loose.
Every autograph I give, every hand I shake I am thankful that you give me the opportunity to be a part of your world. This is the greatest sport int he world and most of the athletes in it deserve the love and respect they get and some just dont get it.
From leaving the venue all the way to the Airport I have had fans of the sport ask me to take out Brock Lesnar for them. The thing is I have a very tough fight ahead of me that IMO is every bit as tough and talented as Brock. Cain is no joke and he may have had a tough fight against Kongo but I got rocked against Gonzaga. Fact is we are at the top of the HWT division and anyone we fight moving forward is going to be a real test. Cain is nothing short of a super athlete with amazing wrestling and he trains with one of the best camps in the country. I am sure Joe Silva told Cain the same thing he told us, winner gets the title shot. Cain is not looking past me he is looking right at me as the person that is in his way from potentially one of the greatest opportunities of his life and mine.
Wow, apparently you can be a top UFC heavyweight while still being a humble, down-to-earth guy. Who knew?
What's interesting about the challenge Carwin could offer Lesnar is that he's someone who is just as big, just as strong, and just as athletic, while also having the same basic skill-set as a wrestler who hits hard. In other words, he could be the perfect test to determine whether Lesnar is really winning based purely on genetics and wrestling ability, or whether it's something more.
But, as Carwin points out, he's still got to get past Cain Velazquez, who he seems to have genuine respect for as a fellow fighter. How 'bout that?

Machida successfully defending the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship with his face.
honestly...I'm not upset about what Brock did at all. Frank Mir was talking mad shit about Brock...I'm actually glad he destroyed him and I would have just as desrespectful towards Mir if I were in his shoes. Im not going to pretend to be ok with someone who obviousley disrespected me every chance he got. Now maybe we could have done with out the big fuck you to the fans but they did boo him for being a dominate force.
He is a fighter with a in your face fighting attitude. Good for him.
That being said I have nothing against Frank, I think he was just trying to pump himself up and he was polite and humble after the fight. However, I think he was humble because he was humbled.

And this potential fight is now very much more interesting because of Lesnar's antics and Carwin's response. Much as you might detest what Lesnar did, you have to see how that works...
As for the match up, it is indeed interesting. But while Carwin is a size match and also boats great wrestling, I'm not sure that he has the same explosive athleticism or the power of Lesnar. Much like Lesnar, certain aspects of his game have not been tested in the UFC.

Brock Lesnar is going to the biggest thing UFC has ever seen. He's GREAT for UFC. He's already brought them more mainstream publicity than anybody else, ever. I garuntee you , that PPV wouldn't have come CLOSE to a million buys if Brock wasn't fighting. People will pay to see him win....or lose. Bottom line, he's putting UFC on a plane it's never seen before and he's going to put millions in the pockets of Dana White and every other fighter.
There's been a lot of assholes to come through UFC. Brock isn't the first, he won't be the last.

The Pro-Wrestling world is celebrating Brock Lesnar's 2nd round Knock Out of Frank Mir. Here's what some of them had to say including Bobby Lashley.
"Mir, what do you think of To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. now after getting your ass handed to you and getting beat in a completely one-sided fight!" .... Hurricane Helms
"Brock is a strong heel. Take it from yours truly... Minnesotans are tough. Might try some MMA. I could destroy that nerdy Bruce Buffer." .... Jeremy Borash
"WWE star Brock Lesnar won by brutual ground and pound!" .... Bobby Lashley
"Yeah Brock! Reppin' the toughness of "WWE" guys by making Mir & the non-believers eat their words! We popped HUGE 4 your post fight promo!" .... Matt Hardy

lol @ the ignorance from some of the pro wrestlers. Lesnar isn't "reppin" WWE in anyway and his victory shows nothing about pro wrestlers toughness in MMA and only shows Lesnar's own athleticism and great amateur wrestling. Matt Hardy would get MURDERED in the octagon or ring and I would definitely love to see it. 'And by the way, that should be posted in UFC 100 discussion, not here.
'And yes, I too hope Carwin beats Cain and goes on to face Lesnar. He has the wrestling to counter Lesnar's and his striking and knock out ability is clearly better.

i love lines like that.
it is a competetive sport thus winning is the only thing that matters.
ok perhaps if you ain't gonna be champion anytime then being nice and being entertaining will keep you in the industry.
however stoving in the other guys face and winning will also do that.
at the end of their career does a fighter who was never champ look back and think 'I may not have ever been champ but at least i was a nice guy my career was a success'
I'd rather be in Lesnar's shoes 'no one liked me but i was the UFC Heavyweight champion so feck em!'
Oh man are pro wrestlers the most ignorant people on earth or what? Maybe The Ultimate Warrior was right all along. They are just ignorant, uneducated drug addicts.
Anyway, I like what Carwin said, the fans should always get respect...Im a fan, and I pay their bills, therefore I dont wanna hear someone say they dont care about what I think or I dont want to be told to go fk myself. Some people dont mind if they are being disrespected I guess, but I do.
Anyway, Brock has apologized, therefore he should be given a break.
I think Carwin and Valasquez would both be good tests for Brock, Carwin more so than Valasquez just because he hits harder.
