5. Ken Shamrock Vs Tito Ortiz 1

UFC was the stage for the biggest grudge match of all time. These guys went toe to toe but Tito was getting the better exchanges, After 3 great rounds Ken's corner threw in the towel leaving Tito victorious and still the UFC LHW champion.


4. Chuck Liddell Vs Tito Ortiz 1

For many years Tito had been dodging Chuck fighting much lesser competition.. These guys where team mates for many years at Team Punishment and Tito always said there friendship was the reason these two was never going to fight. Chuck called this bullshit and said Tito was scared of him .. UFC 47 these 2 finally fought Tito promised a stand up brawl after ppl slated him for being a LnP guy (Lay and Pray) well Chuck did what he said he was going to do and that was to Knock Tito out!!

3. Wanderlei Silva vs Chuck Liddell

Wanderlei Silva use to be the main man in pride and Chuck Liddell was the king of the UFC both guys held the belts Chuck at LHW and Wandy at MW ... Well this fight was a dream match but Pride and UFC could never get it together it seemed. Well eventually Pride folded and Wanderlei Silva signed for the UFC. This fight finally happened at UFC 79 and was a real toe to toe stand up war for the ages with Chuck grinding out a decision win.


2. Matt Hughes vs. Frank Trigg II

Matt Hughes was the man at WW and held the belt and loud mouth Frank Trigg reckoned he was no1 in the division even though he already lost to Matt Hughes via RNC ... They fought at UFC 52 and it was a classic, Frank Trigg hit Matt Hughes with a illegal low blow which the Ref seemed to miss, Hughes looked at the Ref hoping for a time out to recover but Trigg just pounced beating on Hughes and nearly knocking him out ... After working through the beating Hughes took Trigg's back and Sunk in a classic Rear Naked Choke which Trigg tapped to leaving Hughes once again victorious.



1. Stephen Bonnar Vs Forrest Griffin

What else could it be? It was the Ultimate Fighter final with the winner getting a UFC contract ... These guys went at it in a full out brawl for three 5 minute rounds!!
Forrest Griffin went on to win a razor close decision to get the contact and then later become the UFC LHW champion.

5. Cro Cop vs W.Silva: This is the fight that made me fall in love with mma. Most of my buddies used to watch the UFC, but it never grabbed me. The fights were really weak back in the days imo and not too many fighters stood out for me back then. But then one of my friends got me to watch Pride Final Conflict and I just loved it. The all PPV was great, but the fight between Cro Cop and Silva just graabbed me. That day Cro Cop became my favourite fighter, Pride my favourite company and MMA my favourite sport.

4. Rampage vs Forrest: I've always liked Forrest, but Rampage is the one I was cheering for here. Too me he just looked unbeatable back then and he's also funny and likeable. But by the end of the fight I found myself cheering for Forrest. His heart, determination and just will to win won me over and I'm so glad he won that fight.

3. Couture vs T.Sylvia: I liked this match 'cause it was the return of Captain America. Nobody gave him a chance in this fight, but he proved to the world that no one should ever bet against him. I remember being at the club and everytime Couture punched or took Big Tim down, the place went absolutely crazy.

2: Forrest vs Bonnar: The fight that made the UFC I guess. Both of these guys gave their all and Dana White giving both of them a contract, made the fight even sweeter.

1: Fedor vs Cro Cop: The best 2 Heavyweight fighters in the world at the time going at it and just beating the hell out of each other.

The Cro Cop vs Wandy match was awesome ... I love both fighters but Cro Cop put on a beating on him that day and put a end to Silva's dominance in Pride with a beautiful LHK, I serious thought Wandy was dead!!

Not too sure about Cro Cop vs Fedor though ... I mean at the time it was the fight everyone wanted to see, 2 of the best HW's in the world finally fighting each other. I didn't feel it quite lived up to expectations ... I felt like Cro Cop was reluctant to stand toe to toe with Fedor and at times looked scared of him. If Cro Cop fought like he had previous to that fight I feel he would have ended the reign of Fedor.

It doesn't matter dude .. Just thought most people would be ''UFC Fans'' but reading most of the topics in the MMA section Im realising most ppl are ''MMA fans'' and have good knowledge on the sport.

I'd change the title to Top 5 MMA fights but I suppose I'd have to change a couple of fights in there..

Just UFC Fights, my list is drasticlly different from MMA fights sadly, I don't think the UFC has put on the quality of fights found in PRIDE but none the less.
