So in closing, he is an ineffective boxer just like Lesnar, what's the difference?
Not ineffective, Hes a good boxer but it won't win him fights, his boxing is very much serviceable in MMA. Sherks best work comes when he throws a combo and follows it up with a shot, when he standing around trading hes never won a fight.
Brock Lesnar isn't a good boxer and has never boxed with anyone in his career in MMA...see the difference?

The effective bit was your words not mine Shaun, you said that his arms are too small for him to be effective, that means he is an ineffective boxer. I know he has skills and Lesnar doesn't but the big picture is that they are both ineffective boxers.
One has skills and one doesn't but both can do jack shit on the feet for one reason or another.

To small to be effective when hes standing around trading with other fighters, you don't have to look past his last fight to see that. His reach will always be to short to win and sort of striking match up. Although that should be a no brainer, apparently someone forgets what Sherks boxing looked like pre Penn.
Either way, this isn't really about Sherks boxing or Lesnars. Clearly whoever is drawing up Gameplans for Sherk is wasting his talents by having him not force his wrestling on the other fighter. I'm sure its not hard telling Lesnar to go lay on people till they give up, I don't know why its hard to tell that to Sherk.

Lesnar may not be technically great with his boxing, but he has massive knockout power in them massive fists!
I have a feeling he'll knock Mir out standing when they fight and Mir's boxing looked very slick against Nog..
Sherk looked good standing with Franca and Griffin .. But it was a silly gameplan to go toe-to-toe with Edgar who is a very clever striker!
Sherk should go back to his bread and butter in the future..
Mir has been working on his boxing like crazy recently, his boxing against Nog was greatly improved and from the sound of the things his boxing in the Lesnar fight will be even better. Lesnar may have a lot of power in his punches but every time he is in a stand and trade situation he looks really uncomfortable. I see Mir picking him apart in the stand up game but then again, this fight is power vs. skill in it's purest form.

Machida successfully defending the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship with his face.
Sherk is going to have to keep his life intact and stop fucking his career up if he ever wants to fight.
I think I'm the only one who wants Penn to retain. I like KenFlo and I think he is going to give him a fucking war, but Penn will get him while he's off game.
Plus, Sanchez v. Penn would be epicly chaotic.
I love BJ Penn. He is quite possibley my second favourite fighter ever after GSP, so you're not alone in wanting him to retain. I like Kenny, but I just don't see him beating Penn, if Penn turns up motivated. In fact if Penn turns up motivated I don't see it going past three rounds at all. Penn will finish him. But betting on Penn is like guessing the flight pattern of a moth, it makes no sense and is all over the place most of the time so you can never be sure of the outcome.

All Ken-Flo has to do against BJ is attack him early before BJ can get a good rhythm with his striking, but Kenny can't make it a boxing match because the fight will end with BJ submitting him. The only way that I can see Ken-Flo beating BJ is by unanimous or split decision. Hopefully GSP training Ken-Flo before UFC 101 gives him a slight advantage against BJ for the LW title.

Ken-Flo's not GSP. He doesn't have what it takes to hold BJ Penn down for 5 Rounds, if even 1.
The only way Ken-Flo wins this is by cut stoppage. He won't submit BJ, he won't knock him out, and he won't be able to win more than 1 or 2 rounds against him in a 5 Round fight. He'll need to cut him and work it. That's his only chance.
