So, I was looking at Strikeforces next card, and it looks like they are going to have Carano vs Cyborg main eventing the card, and probably hyping it up a ton. Now, I know this fight has been brewing for ages, but is it really the right thing to have as your main event, and ultimately hyping up? You have Rodgers vs Overeem on that same card, which in my opinion should be the main event, and then have the Carano/Cyborg match as a co-main event.
I realize they are trying to differ their product from the UFC, but is this the right way to do it? Most women matches I have seen have either been a bore fest, or just really, really uninteresting. It will defiantly get the hardcore MMA fans excited for it, but I don't think they will get much new fans with it...since I'm guessing most random MMA fans won't run to a card with two women fighting as the main event.
