Lost only to Leben early in his career and to Okami at 185lbs.
Since moving down to Welterweight, he has been unstoppable. Totally schooled Marcus Davis in their fight and made short work of Goulet by knocking him out early in the first. In his last fight, he took on a bigger Saunders and controlled most of the fight before finally getting the stoppage.
Should he get the next Title shot, or should he fight one more time before getting considered?
Maybe a fight against John Fitch or Matt Hughes should come first and if he can defeat either of these men, then he should definitely get a Title shot.
What you think?

Do you have a reason not to give The Half Boy your vote for the Hall of Fame?
Of course he's a contender, and he actually controlled the fight with Saunders before TKO'ing him with that flurry. The Okami fight really derailed his title shot and his move to 170, which moved him down the contender ladder. However, he's not ready for a title shot yet. He definitely needs a fight against a TOP contender like Fitch before he gets a title shot.

You stated correctly, Sawyer. A nice fight against a Koscheck, a Fitch, or maybe an Alves/St-Pierre depending on the outcome. The nice thing about Swick is that all of his fights are FOTN material. He could easily take they guys aforementioned by me and you and give them a battle the fans will never forget. Just work him a couple of matches. I'm sure the shot will go soon.

Yeah, Hughes vs. Swick would be a great fight to watch. If Swick can handle his wrestling then I can see him getting a knock out. Koscheck on the other hand... beating him IS always a big deal but if Swick beat him he would still have to face another quality opponent after him to truly earn a title shot. Fitch would for sure be his greatest test and would basically let everyone know how good Swick is on the ground.
