It's the biggest event in mixed martial arts history, and for UFC 100, the Ultimate Fighting Championship is bringing out the big guns. Two championships will be on the line when UFC heavyweight title holder Brock Lesnar defends his crown against rival Frank Mir in their long-awaited grudge match, and UFC welterweight champion Georges "Rush" St-Pierre puts his belt up for grabs against Brazilian knockout artist Thiago "Pitbull" Alves. Also, The Ultimate Fighter coaches collide as Dan Henderson takes on Michael "The Count" Bisping in a pivotal middleweight showdown.
Main Card
Champ Brock Lesnar vs. interim champ Frank Mir (heavyweight title unification)
Champ Georges St. Pierre vs. Thiago Alves (for welterweight title)
Jon Fitch vs. Paulo Thiago
Michael Bisping vs. Dan Henderson
Yoshihiro Akiyama vs. Alan Belcher
Preliminary Card
Stephan Bonnar vs. Mark Coleman
Jon Jones vs. Jake O'Brien
Dong Hyun Kim vs. TBA
Mac Danzig vs. Jim Miller
C.B. Dollaway vs. Tom Lawlor
Matt Grice vs. Shannon Gugerty
From the little I know about UFC so far, I quite like Brock just because he's Brock.
And I really like GSP obviously, and Thiago Alves also so I'm really looking forward to that match.
I fancy both championships to remain on the champions personally. I think Brock's just too powerful for Mir, and GSP just seems unbeatable at present from what I've seen, no matter how much I like Alves.
I've no idea about MMA at present really though so I'm sure you guys can tell me how wrong I am, haha.
Jon Jones is fighting Jake 'Bore people to death' O'Brien, why should it be shown?
Because i see Jones destroying him and going on to make a name for him in the 205 division. I'm a huge fan as you can tell and its rare to see his fights so id really enjoy watching him compete at UFC 100.
I just hope Mark Coleman shows up with some kind of gas tank.
Very unlikely.
'And I agree with Thew'ster. I hope Mir pulls out some good rubber guard on Lesnar. Everyone is talking about how much improved Lesnar's submission defense will be, but honestly how much could it have possibly improved in two fights compared to one of the world's best in Mir. Mir's biggest obstacle in this fight is avoiding Lesnar's power. I see Mir picking Lesnar apart in the stand up game and he just has to avoid Lesnar's hammer punches on the ground and wait for a mistake. Lesnar has had 4 UFC fights guys.... he's bound to make a mistake.

What would you show Jon Jones over, Fitch...? the debuting Sexyama? Bisping vs Henderson.
I like Jones he's fun to watch but he's in his what third fight in the UFC and is very young to the sport in general and this is UFC 100 a number no one thought the UFC would ever reach and you want to show someone who is a decent fighter.
You will bring up Sexyama but you have 0 idea the type of market power he has out east Japan hates Sexyama and he's absolutely loved in Korea.
So yea Jon Jones is only shown if its an exciting fight and the others are finished early.
I actually think he may just mean if there is some spare time then Jones' fight should be the first option to be shown because it sure as hell shouldn't be actually on the main card over any of the fights already there as you have covered very well.
However, some people may even prefer to see Bonnar/Coleman before Jones/O'Brien.
