Wow, this just increased me interest tenfold. I can't wait to see how the guys treat Kimbo. I'm not a Kimbo fan at all, but he seems like a pretty nice guy in the interviews he does and everything else...just seems to be a pretty bad MMA fighter. This is definitely going to be the most anticipated TUF's ever.
Re: Kimbo on the new season of The Ultimate Fighter
I love how Dana White trashed Kimbo repeatedly when Elite XC was using him... and here he is, taking advantage of Kimbo's notoriety just as much. In a less risky fashion, but still...

I must say it's a masterstroke from Dana. I'm sure there are many people out there like me who were losing interest in TUF franchise. Adding Kimbo certainly increases my interest, and by the looks of it a lot of other peoples interest in the show. It should get a ton on media attention too. I can't wait for the season to start!

Well, it's better than signing Kimbo for a contract without even having him on TUF. This way, he has to earn it. It's still great publicity though.

Re: Kimbo on the new season of The Ultimate Fighter
Dana said a long time ago that if Kimbo ever wanted to be in the UFC he would have a position in the Ultimate Fighter and would have to fight his way up.

Its actually a pretty smart move. Much less risky than signing Lesnar to a huge contract and headlining him immediately was, though that did pay off.
I just find the hypocrisy of Dana White amusing. I understand it, from a business perspective. But I still find it interesting to see. He say whatever needs to be said on a given day, just like any other promoter.

Re: Kimbo on the new season of The Ultimate Fighter
Dana confirmed today that Kimbo doesn't have a special TUF contract, he will only get paid the usual $5,000.00 per stoppage.
I don't think it's hypocritical though. Dana is doing exactly what he said he would. Hypocrisy would have been signing him after the collapse of EliteXC and having him fight Cabbage in the co-main event of a PPV.
