I am so pleased with this guy, he is one of my favorite fighters at this time and I'm so glad he was able to take home the belt, he's an amazing fighter with so much natural talent and I see him being very dominant in the Light Heavyweight division. What are some of your thoughts on Lyoto Machida?
I dig Lyoto, having different styles keeps things interesting. Rumor going around is that he is fighting Shogun at 103, and that is a fight I want to see now that Shogun seems to be closer to 2005 Shogun.

Its how almost everyone felt watching the majority of his fights in the UFC?
His knock outs lately haven't erased those fights from memory, hes a good fighter but fuck those fights were a waste of 15 minutes that I'll never get back.
His first couple of UFC fights are not fun to watch. Not necessarily bad fights, but he was a bit too elusive. The last couple have very much made up for that. I could see him having a fairly lengthy run with the title, as his style will make him a tough fight for anyone.
Lyoto has grown on me since he came to the UFC. I like his elusive style. I loved when Tito Ortiz was getting dangled on and Tito was getting pissed because he couldn't hit him.
I agree with ToL about his first couple fights in the UFC... way to elusive and boring. Definitely of waste of time in my life.
As for Lyoto since then has been entertaining once he actually gets going. I enjoyed the Evans bout more than I thought I would, probably cause I knew from the first kick by Machida, Evans wasn't making it 3 rounds. He looked way to uncomfortable from that moment on and had no idea what Machida was going to hit him with next.
