I said it was a mistake not taking the immediate title shot...
Yes, a huge mistake that they will pay for with a great season of trash talk, excellent ratings, and a huge buyrate for their eventually conflict on PPV. Silly UFC, for making all those bags of money.

How much more hype can there be though? Wasnt Rampage supposed to fight Evans, then he got injured, then Machida kicked the fuck out of Evans!? I really dont care much about Evans vs Jackson, and getting rid of the countries already has me down on the show. Sorry, but the Comback ppv that has Silva vs Franklin sounds like an appropriate name the fight between these two. Just put Evans vs Jackson: "Someone's career is bound to get back on track", and throw the two in the octagon, imo.

Japan stoopid! Canada would be killed. Seriously, Ive seen our MMA promotions up here, live, school fights have better forum. GSP was one in a million. Yeah overall, TUF 10 is gonna suck balls. Hopefully there is some drama...

Former UFC light heavyweight champions Quinton "Rampage" Jackson and Rashad Evans were today officially announced as coaches on the upcoming 10th season of "The Ultimate Fighter."
The shows debuts Sept. 16 at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Spike TV, which aired the first season of "TUF" in 2005.
Additionally, unlike recent seasons of the reality show, the UFC and Spike TV will not start with 32 candidates and will instead commence with a cast of 16 fighters.
"The 10th season of 'The Ultimate Fighter' is going to be the most highly anticipated one in years, and with two of the greatest pound-for-pound fighters in the world today (as coaches), both of which have personalities as large as their skill-sets, it promises to deliver," stated UFC President Dana White, who returns as the show's host.
During the past few seasons of the show, "TUF" hopefuls first needed to win an elimination-round fight to earn a spot on the cast. This year, it appears, all invited fighters will earn an immediate spot in the "TUF" house.
This puts me in favour of the season to be honest, I've wanted HW only for a while.

You really think two of the biggest names in the UFC at this point will be hyped much further by being on the show? You think fans who didn't buy their in-ring confrontation will somehow be convinced by the show? Both guys have already proven capable of headlining PPVs that sell very well. Its unnecessary. Same as having guys like GSP or Penn on the show to try to sell more PPVs - it adds a minimal amount in that regard, if anything.
Another way to look at it - if this pushes their fight back by six months, they could theoretically have their much hyped showdown, and each headline another PPV in that time. So instead of one strong-selling PPV, they could have one strong-selling PPV and two more solid ones...
