Don't get me wrong, every single MMA fan in the world can't be wrong, I'm sure he's fantastic and can win fights blindfolded with his hands tied behind his back, by firing lightening out of his arse.
I'm just yet to see anything that special from him that warrent's such adoration. Granted I haven't been trawling through every single fight he's ever had, so I don't know his history or anything, and I am way more than happy to be shown something that will convince me his God-like status is a worthy.

He beat Nog when Nog was at the height of his career subbing guys left and right.
Instead of trying to stand with Nog which everyone agreed was the smart thing to do, Fedor goes into his guard and unleashes hell just raining down punches the entire fight on Nog completely dominating him.
Or him winning the standup with Cro Cop when Cro Cop was kicking guys heads in left and right (mostly left).
Beating Randlemen soundly.
Just look at who he has beat.

Suffy said it best, this guy has beat the who's who in the heavyweight division in dominating fashion for YEARS and at their own game. He didn't just rise to the top recently. He's been on top since 2003. That's a long ass time in MMA.

Machida successfully defending the UFC Light Heavyweight Championship with his face.
There is also the fact that he has never been legitimately beaten. That just doesn't happen in high level MMA. Everyone has an off nigiht at some point. Every gets caught. Everyone comes up against someone who has a better gameplan who's skillset just works too much in their favor. That does not happen with Fedor.

I didn't say Fedor had ever been beaten, or that he hadn't been on top for a long period of time... I just haven't seen anything overly special from him. I've seen about five or six fights (which is not many admittedly) maybe more since I got into MMA and I haven't seen anything that made me think he was the best out there.
Again, I am happy to be proven wrong, because I'll admit my knowledge is highly limited, but so far I've seen nothing.

Really? Everyone just gave you numerous reasons. Who else has been on top of their division for 6 years, never legitimately lost, and made some of the best in the world look like nothing?

So if outright dominance over an extended period over top level competition without any legitimate blemishes doesn't impress you, what would?

I still say watch Nog vs Fedor 1 when Fedor was considered a nobody and Nog was considered the man that would reign forever and watch just complete and utter domination.
