According to a Russian MMA news site, the long-rumored matchup of WAMMA Heavyweight Champion Fedor Emelianenko vs. Josh Barnett for the title may finally happen (again) in August. A loose translation suggests it will be at the 3rd M-1 Global/Affliction event planned for early August.

Under the preliminary information a long-awaited match between champion WAMMA in heavy weight, Fedor Emelyanenko and American fighter J.Barnett takes place on third tournament M-1 Global Affliction which is planned on the beginning of August of this year.
Keep in mind that the translation could have been fucked up.

This is one I'm looking forward to. Barnett is an interesting match-up, plus they are pretty good friends. I think the Russian cyborg takes it, but it won't be easy.

Oh there is no doubt that Fedor will take it, but yeah should be fun to watch.
I wouldn't bet against Fedor. That said, the man is going to lose legitimately sooner or later. Especially if he continues to face high level competition.
