Last weekend, former WWE superstar Bobby Lashley was victorious in his second professional MMA fight, defeating Jason Guida by unanimous decision at the “March Badness" MMA & boxing Pay-Per-View. Lashley was a guest on the Pro MMA Radio show last night and told host Larry Pepe that his ultimate goal is to be a player in the UFC.
“I’ve had dialogue with (the UFC) over the past few days. They know where my mind frame is. I hold the UFC in high regard and I believe the UFC is a place where you have to be at a certain level before you get there. I want to be a serious contender for a title before I go in there. When I get to the UFC, I want people to say ‘Bobby is good enough to go for the title.’ I would like to be holding a 5-0 or 6-0 record, somewhere around there before going into the UFC. If I can take what I do in practice and put that into a match — then you’ll see a whole different Bobby than what you saw the other day.”
Now Granted I didn't see his second fight but I could see him being a great addition to the HW divison. I for one look forward to Black Lesnar debuting in the UFC
Seriously, if he does go to UFC right now then it's just for the revenue he may bring in. I don't really even think he will have much drawing power, I know he was a big guy in WWE, but he wouldn't have a Lesnar type following. So really I don't see the point in signing him. At least let him get 4/5 more fights under his belt before signing him.
Lashley vs. Brock?
lolfail.

i don't think he's ready for UFC yet, he needs a few more wins. but i understand Ufc talks to him. he's a possible big draw. i don't say he will have the same amount of fans like Brock has, but he will attrackt viewers for his fights. people will want to see if he will be the next WWE-star who makes it in MMA. if he's the next Brock Lesnar. and if he will be able to make it in MMA, then it's important to sign him as fast as possible.
