Former WWF Intercontinental champion and MMA legend Ken Shamrock has been suspended for one year and fined $2,500 by the California State Athletic Commission after testing positive for three different types of steroids, according to the Los Angeles Times. Shamrock will be allowed to appeal the decision.
Shamrock tested positive for Norandrosterone, Noretiocholanolone and Stanozolol after a 2/13 win in California over Ross Clifton. It was Shamrock's first win in close to four years.
How the suspension will change the planned Shamrock vs. Bobby Lashley fight scheduled for 3/21 in Pensacola, Florida remains to be seen but most States will honor a suspension levied elsewhere.

Im guessing this fight won't happen anymore and that kinds sux. Shamrock was a great opponent to get Lashley over. Maybe Bobby Lashley vs Kimbo Slice????? I wouldn't mind that.

That was him in the WWE, I wouldn't be surprised if he was on steroids then either.
Anyway, like Dmac said, he might as well just retire now because he really has nothing going for him at the moment. I doubt any big name organization will want to hire him now, let alone before this whole steroid thing. They should do Tito vs. Shamrock just for shits and giggles. As for Bobby, I'd like to see him go in the UFC and fight some low level guys before he gets the bigger names. Just don't have him go as fast as Lesnar did. Or like Narc said, a Kimbo vs. Lashley fight would be awesome.

Well there was always chance that he would come back for one night only for UFC 100 but with a year suspension that isn't happening is it.
To be perfectly honest I wouldn't be surprised if he got himself banned purposely so he wouldn't have to embaress himself in the octagon one more time.

Kimbo pretty much lost all the respect he had from top MMA promotions and fighters after that ridiculous loss to such a little guy (compared to Kimbo). Lashley is moving up the ranks and Dana White has not ruled him out as coming to the UFC in the future. Fighting Kimbo Slice does not help his chances of doing that.
