A couple decent fights on the card, but nothing significant. Glad this is a freebie, because I don't see a fight on here really that worth paying money for.

Stevenson-Sanchez is interesting, and will have some bearing on the LW title scene, but its hardly two marquee fighters. Its two solid fighters with name value. If wasn't a freebie show, I would say it probably deserved to the first or second fight on a PPV.

Gouveia-Marquardt and Maia-Sonnen could both be solid fights as well.

Suffy

Sonnen gets a very tough UFC debut (obviously he's no rookie) but none the less Maia is a very dangerous fighter and Soonen a great wrestler it will be interesting.

And am I wrong to say Diego at 155 is a one fight deal I remember reading that somewhere, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Stevenson over Sanchez:
Yeah, you heard me, I am picking Joe here. Too many people are underestimating Joe and I think Sanchez will as well. Too me Stevenson is a great fighter all around and on the ground he is dangerous. I think he could pull a submission here if Sanchez isn't careful and shock the world. He is a 3 to 1 underdog and I think that number is too high...I think I might lay a bet on good old Joe.

Koshcheck over Thiago:
I'm so glad the UFC resigned Koshcheck. I love wrestlers and he is a great one. He is one of the most improved MMA fighters in recent years, especially when you look at his standup. Paulo Thiago is a newcomer and I know that everytime the UFC introduces a new guy, they are impressive, but with that being said, Josh is my pick.

Marquardt over Gouveia:
Gouveia was oustanding in his fight against Jason MacDonald, but Marquardt is an animal. His only 2 losses in recent years are to The Middleweight Champion and #1 Contender to Middleweight title. Should be an exciting fight.

Maia over Sonnen:
I dont know who Sonnen is, but I know Damian Maia and Im predicting another "Submission of the Night" award for him. His BJJ is flawless and I just can't wait to see what kinda crazy sub is gonna pull off here.

Sanchez over Stevenson - Diego has great bjj he won't get caught by Joe's subs. He'll keep the fight standing and beat him there, easily sanchez, easily.

Kos over Thiago

Kos is good, I hate him but he's good, improved striking enough to survive and will always have his awesome wrestling.

Nate vs Gouveria

Not really sure not seen enough of Gouvy but I always like Nate something about him re-assures me. He'll grind out a decision.

Maia vs Sonnen

To the poster above, Sonnen is the unofficial MW champ of WEC (he beat Filho in a non title fight when Filho didn't make weight), he is a big wrestler very tall decent mma fighter all around, but he got caught by Filho and Maia is 10000000x better than Filho on the ground.

Sonnen is a pretty solid fighter. He's the guy who beat Paulo Filho recently, which is pretty impressive except for the fact that Filho looked about a tenth of the fighter he did through most of his career. Sonnen has a win over Jason Miller back in the day, but he has against most of the quality fighters he's faced (Forrest Griffin, Jeremy Horn three times). That said, I'd probably still take Maia.

As for the main event, I like Stevenson more than Sanchez. But I just can't see past Diego in this one. My guess is that they hope that Sanchez looks good at lightweight, and him and Kenny Florian can become the heart of the weight class after Penn retires.

im a huge UFC Merk but UFC 95 doesnt look that good of a card, Yeah you have " Joe Daddy " v Sanchez but thats it..ill still watch it because it may turn out to be good, but i wasnt lookin forward to it.
