For the last four years, these events have proven to be some of the most talked about shows in ROH's history. Featuring epic matches, wrestling legends, international talent, and all the action fans expect from Ring of Honor, these weekends have been one of the highlights of ROH's year and you can expect the same when ROH comes to Arizona.

Dragon Gate USA is excited to announce that DGUSA will run two events in Phoenix, AZ at the beautiful Celebrity Theatre on Friday night, March 26th, and Saturday, March 27th, with the time to be announced. Tickets will go on sale shortly so you have time to make plans and arrangements. We will post ticket packages and info later this week right here at DGUSA.tv.
The Celebrity Theatre is a first class facility that has housed major musical acts and wrestling in the past, including WWE's version of ECW. It is located very close to the airport, making it an extremely convenient location for all those traveling to Phoenix. The building has ice cold air conditioning and a full bar. There are also plenty of hotels nearby. Go to To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. for more info on this great building.
From 2006-2008 fans from around the world were amazed by the athleticism of the Dragon Gate competitors, highlighted each year by the annual six man tag. This year the tradition returns as Dragon Gate is bringing its best to Phoenix to compete in six man tag team competition again. Also already signed for both events are Davey Richards and The Young Bucks of Nick & Matt Jackson.
"The Wrestlemania double shot was a huge highlight for me personally from 2006 to 2008," DGUSA VP Gabe Sapolsky said. "It was so much fun to present those shows with the Dragon Gate talent. Now after a one year hiatus we will all converge on Phoenix to continue the tradition. The
Dragon Gate six man tag is back! Now we will show fans from all over the world how fresh and exciting Dragon Gate USA is."
These two events will also feature much more great action and an all star talent roster. We'll have more news later this week, including all the ticket details, right here at DGUSA.tv.
Damn. I think it's pretty shitty they should choose to run these on the same nights and make everyone who's going choose between them. I'm sure they had these planned in advance, but still. What's worse is DGUSA have already taken Davey away from what'll likely be ROH's biggest weekend of 2010.

Thanks for posting this. Tough call by Davey and I don't think this was the right one, even though DG guys have came to ROH during mania weekend and have torn the house down. The DG shows could be the better of promotions that weekend but ROH could pull out some secret weapons.

Now that I know what "matinee show" means, there's a good chance they won't be going head-to-head on the Saturday because ROH starts at 2pm. I'm hoping Davey could show up for both promotions, but with the style he wrestles, I doubt he'd be able to get up for a while after the first show.
If they worked out a deal so they don't have to go against each other at all, that'd be great.

It would be absolutely stupid of the companies to go head to head. I'd be willing to bet that most DGUSA fans are fans of ROH as well and vice-versa. You'd be cutting the attendance in half. As long as it is at different times, that weekend is going to be an insane time to be a wrestling fan.

LOL, I like DGUSA but they're going to get destroyed. ROH just has a bigger fanbase than Dragon Gate in America. And there goes any chance of Davey winning the title any time soon.

Why would it affect his chances? Jerry Lynn missed his first doubleshot as champ because he took bookings elsewhere and it's not like ROH want to keep their guys super exclusive.

There's no way in hell ROH going to put the belt on someone who's working in direct competition of their biggest show. "Not only is there no title match tonight, you can see our champion in Gabe's new fed a few miles away!"

By "any time soon" I meant before next April, I should have made that clearer. It seems like Tyler Black is going to be the one to win it but I really hope not, I'd much rather see Davey or even Chris Hero with the title more than Tyler Black.
