With the possibility of their split looming, and I think it's time they were separated for a while, I thought it might be a decent idea to look back on one of ROH's best teams ever. They've only been around since 2007 but have put on some fantastic matches and been in two of the best rivalries and had an incredible underdog title chase angle. So what does everyone think their best match(es) is?
Here's a list of some of what I consider their top matches and I'll say what I think the best is when we get the ball rolling a bit:
vs The Briscoes - FYF: Chicago
vs Mike Quackenbush & Jigsaw - Domination
vs The Briscoes (Streetfight) - DBD V Night 1
vs The Briscoes (Best 2/3 Falls) - MM II
vs The Briscoes (Ladder War) - Man Up
vs SpeedMuscle - Dragon Gate Challenge II
vs Shingo & BxB Hulk - SOH III
vs Motor City Machine Guns - DBD VI
vs Jimmy Jacobs & Tyler Black - Driven 2008
vs The Briscoes - Bound By Hate
vs American Wolves - MCM 2009
vs American Wolves (No DQ) - 7YA
vs American Wolves (Submissions Match) - MMIII

I think the 2/3 falls match against the Briscoes stands out as their best match to me. It really felt like the culmination of everything they had done as a team at that point, and it while it wasn't the fued ender it, it felt like it was THE match to win. I also loved how the Briscoes won it in 2 straight falls, something you would have never saw coming and paid off all of their previous 2/3 falls wins. And there was enough hate and action to keep it interesting without ever getting stupid or lame like the streetfight.
The title win against the AOTF was a good match on it's own but great in context. The final minutes with Jacobs almost stealing the win like they did at Tag Wars was great.
The Bound For Hate match is also a personal favourite of mine, too.

You're right about it being in context, but since I knew everything about how passionate Steen was about winning the titles and how they failed against the Briscoes, had it snatched away at Up For Grabs in a tourney they were beaten up badly in, it was probably the most dramatic and emotional match that year, for me. This is definitely my favourite Steenerico match.

Ladder War from Man Up.
Any reasons? I know quite a few people here didn't like it because it was a total spotfest.

Guess I'll go with their match against Speed Muscle from Dragon Gate Challenge II since no one's mentioned it yet. It had all the things that make a good tag team match plus that Dragon Gate flavor that really makes the match great.
Absolutely loved the match with SpeedMuscle, I remember giving it about ****1/4. Steenerico had their best weekend that year with the Dragon Gate shows.

The match that came to my mind first when I read the title was Ladder Wars from Man Up. I guess it's just because It entertained me more than their other matches and really solidified them as true contenders for the titles.

Ignoring the fact that I hated the match, the biggest booking problem was not giving Steenerico the tag titles. They just spent the better part of the year chasing the tag titles and making a name for themselves. At the end of the day though, they lose only to have the Briscoes lose the tag titles to the Age of the Fall? I feel the tag team titles became devalued after the Steenerico/Briscoes feud ended because none of the teams that held them really meant anything. By time they finally won the titles the following year, it didn't matter as much.
