Bonus Match (6:30pm Belltime For Golden Circle & VIP Balcony Ticket Holders)
Eddie Kingston vs. Hallowicked
Definitely looks interesting so far. Surprised at Doi not being in the tourney, especially when he's beaten Shingo and Danielson. The tag looks great, but not sure what I think about the other matches. Their two best heels against each other?

Defiantly an interesting line up so far. The three way I'm really intrigued by. Adding Super Crazy into the mix I like, and the stuff between Quack/Crazy could be fun.
YAMATO and Richards should be good stuff. I expect Richards ush, and YAMATO to just be bad ass.

October 27th: If you were following us at To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. for the past few days you know something was up with the participants in the "Salute To Skayde" three-way first round match in the Open The Freedom Gate Title tournament on 11/28 in Philadelphia. As a result, the match has been changed. The three-way pitting CIMA vs. Mike Quackenbush vs. Super Crazy is now a four-way. After hearing the news that Jorge "Skayde" Rivera would be in Philly for CHIKARA on 11/22, Quackenbush and CIMA both said the best "Salute To Skayde" would be to actually put him in the match to give him one last shot at glory. When Super Crazy heard this, he demanded for Rivera to be added to the bout. Crazy lost his mask to Rivera when he was just 14 years old in his rookie year in 1988. He would then feud with Rivera in the 90s in Mexico's AAA promotion. He is eager to renew this feud again, this time in his old stomping grounds of The Arena. Of course, Rivera trained both CIMA and Quackenbush so respect runs deep there. Now Rivera will have perhaps his final chance at winning a major singles title. Rivera can be called the patriarch of both Dragon Gate and CHIKARA. Can he sit on top of the DGUSA throne by being the first Open The Freedom Gate Champion? We'll take a much deeper look at this match in the upcoming weeks. There is a lot of emotion in this one. CIMA vs. Quackenbush vs. Crazy vs. Skayde is set for Philly on 11/28!!!

Possibly a three star or three 1/2 match. I haven't seen any of Kendricks matches since returning to the independents. And BxB can only do so much high flying wise. He's not that well rounded as the Kendrick I remember.

The final match is:
Quote:
November 4th: The final first round match for the tournament on 11/28 in Philadelphia at The Arena to determine the first Open The Freedom Gate Champion has been signed. The "Generation New" six-way bout will feature Nick Jackson vs. Matt Jackson vs. Jigsaw vs. Gran Akuma vs. Johnny Gargano vs. Lince Dorado. These six have shed the label of "tomorrow's stars" over the first two DGUSA events to prove they are the new generation. Now they will each have a chance to take a place among the elite by becoming the first DGUSA Champion. Here is how they each earned a chance to put their name in the history books:
-Matt & Nick Jackson: You know them as The Young Bucks and they immediately proved to be the foundation of DGUSA by defeating Dragon Gate veterans CIMA & Susumu Yokosuka on the first show.
-Jigsaw: Not only has he stepped up as a leader in the CHIKARA locker room, but he scored the fall in the eight man bout on the first DGUSA event.
-Lince Dorado: This high-flyer won the first ever FRAY! on 7/25/09.
-Johnny Gargano: This crafty ring general was the victor in FRAY! on 9/6/09.
-Gran Akuma: The hard-hitter proves that crime does pay as he has made an impact by siding with YAMATO.
The reputations of all six of these athletes has grown during the first two DGUSA events. Now one of them will advance and have a chance at the ultimate prize in DGUSA. Tickets are now on sale in the DGUSA.tv Store or by calling 267-519-9744.
Could be a fun spotfest, but I expect nothing more. Johnny Gargano seems quite decent judging by what I saw of him in the Historic Gate FRAY!. I see CIMA, Davey, Hulk and Jigsaw reaching the finals.
