Looking forward to all these matches, minus Colt/Hero. I can see that being all comedy, less elbows. Strong/Davey will surely be great and the tag will be interesting to see how it plays out.

Tag Team Challenge Match
Kevin Steen & El Generico vs Jay & Mark Briscoe

...has been added. It's been done like 10 times before, but matches between them hardly ever dissapoint. I imagine The Briscoes will go over here.

Cabana is now in the tag. Knew it, and he was really the best option, but it's pretty meh now without KENTA.

Not sure why Claudio's replacing Hero in the match with Cabana, but I think it'll be a pretty lame match anyway. Sonjay Dutt getting main event TV time is a BIG mistake.

Jim Cornette opened the night with a promo. This set of tapings will feature a Pick Six contenders series. Each hour will have a one-on-one match with the winner receiving $2500 and becoming eligible for a title shot. Tonight's ROH World Championship match will be a four-way match with Austin Aries defending against Roderick Strong, Davey Richards, and Kenny Omega. Brian guessed that this promo and the last two matches taped will be the first HDNet episode.

1) Delirious defeated Kenny King with a crucifix. This was the first Pick Six match. Fun match.

2) Steve Corino lost to a would-be jobber by forfeit. Corino refused the match, so it was awarded to his opponent, who he then beat up.

3) Erick Stevens won a squash match

4) Tyler Black defeated Sonjay Dutt. Tyler won the first-hour main event and the second Pick Six contest with God's Last Gift.

5) Chris Hero defeated Kyle O'Reilly

6) Necro Butcher defeated Joey Ryan by disqualification. Ryan was caught throwing powder in Necro's face.

7) Colt Cabana defeated Claudio Castagnoli. Colt scored the win with a roll-up to wrap up the second hour and earn $2500 and contender status.

8 ) The Briscoes defeated El Generico & Kevin Steen. The match was for a tag title shot at Final Battle. Mark may have injured his knee. The Briscoes won when Jay hit a Jay Driller on Steen and Mark pinned him.

9) Austin Aries defeated Davey Richards, Roderick Strong, and Kenny Omega to retain the ROH World Championship. Very good, action packed title match. The end featured a long stretch with Richards and Strong alone in the ring. Strong eventually got the best of it and hit a big move on Richards, but Aries snuck in and stole the pin.

Tomorrow's Pick Six matches will include Richards vs. Strong and Jay Briscoe vs. Mark Briscoe.

I don't think I'm going to like these tapings...The only thing appealing is the Pick Six thing, but the booking is so...ugh. They fucking wasted Davey's first title shot on a fourway? Will Claudio ever beat Colt this year? Mark Briscoe fucking injured himself again going into a dream match with the American Wolves? Sonjay Dutt in a main event?

KENTA being available could've redeemed this somewhat, if you ask me.

a. Grizzly Redwood d. Robbie Marcel - Redwood wins with the Double Axehandle off the top.

MAIN SHOW

1. Joey Ryan d. The Necro Butcher in a No Disqualification Match - Erick Stevens interfered to fend of the Embassy, but then turned on Necro and joined The Embassy! Grizzly Redwood tried to help Necro, but Stevens took him out too!

2. Colt Cabana d. Tony Kozina - Colt wins with the Billy Goats Curse

3. Kevin Steen d. Alex "Sugarfoot" Payne - Steen wins with the Sharpshooter after the Package Piledriver

4. Kenny Omega d. Chris Hero - Omega ducked the roaring elbow and rolled Hero up for the win! Said to be "very good"! Omega qualifies into the initial Pick 6.

5. Delirious d. Sonjay Dutt - Delirious wins with the Cobra Stretch. Dutt threw Daizee Haze into the guardrail. She recovered to hit a missile dropkick on Dutt to set up the finish. Said to be "not good, boring".

6. Jay Briscoe d. Mark Briscoe - Match ended in a double countout originally. Cornette came out and said that they either could accept it as a draw, and no one gets the $2500 or spot, or start again. They started again, and after they each countered each other's finishers, Jay got a pinning combination for the win. Jay Briscoe qualifies for the Pick 6.

7. Bobby Dempsey & One of the Bravado Brothers d. Tony Nees & Gino Giovanni - Dempsey hit Nees with the Death Valley Driver for the win.

Erick Stevens and the Embassy destroyed the other Bravado Brother (presumably before the match, leading to Dempsey's involvement)

8. Colt Cabana & Tyler Black d. Austin Aries & Kenny King - Colt hit King with the Colt 45 for the win. Ending seemed rushed, as though King may have been hurt.

9. Claudio Castagnoli d. Eddie Kingston - Claudio won with a horse collar lock on the knee of Kingston. Kingston came to the ring selling his knee, so there must have been a backstage attack that will be edited into the show.

10. Steve Corino d. Andy "Right Leg" Ridge - Corino wins with a back to belly piledriver and a lariat. "Great showing by Right Leg actually".

11. El Generico d. Rhett Titus - Generico wins with a brainbuster.

12. Roderick Strong d. Davey Richards - Strong wins with a Gibson Driver. Great match, hard hitting back and forth, just what you'd expect from these two! Strong is the final competitor to qualify for the initial Pick 6.

Stevens heel turn = greatness. But it's the Embassy, so who knows how much it'll actually benefit him? Can't wait to see Strong/Davey. Briscoe/Briscoe and Omega/Hero could be worth watching.

Damn, I wanted him to be pushed the Embassy fued is perhaps the most stale thing they have going.

Also, they really are pushing Omega hard but atleast he is winning by roll-ups and whatnot, which keeps him as an underdog nicely.

At least something is being done with Stevens. For a while it looked like he was slowly being fazed out.

But at the same time, how far do you think he can go while being stuck in another faction warfare?
