For me:
Survival Of The Fittest 2009: It's an important time of change for ROH, which gives this some more flavour. I'm anticipating who is gonna be pushed to that next level and there's potential for some nice upsets in this. It also helps that there's no one obvious winner.
Participants so far: Chris Hero, Roderick Strong, Kenny Omega, Tyler Black, Kenny King, Rhett Titus, Colt Cabana, Kevin Steen, Petey Williams, Claudio Castagnoli
Torneo Cibernetico: As much as I liked last year's, which is a lot, I can't say the same for this one. No doubt it'll have some fun action, but just looking at who's involved, there's no heel flavour. Last year had some great heel moments, from Gerard ducking Equinox the whole match, Kingston backfisting his own teammate, Amasis' antics etc. I may not know much about CHIKARA, but the only interesting partner vs partner thing I see happening is a Player Uno turn.
Participants: The Colony, QuackSaw, Young Bucks, Cheech & Cloudy, Incoherence, The Future Is Now, Super Smash Bros.
Battle Of Los Angeles 2009: Can't say much since only four guys are announced so far and I only care about Steen. I haven't seen much BOLA before, but from what I hear there's usually some top quality stuff. Deciding a new PWG champ makes this a bit more intriguing.
Participants so far: Kevin Steen, Scott Lost, Brandon Gatson, Jerome Robinson
Open The Freedom Gate Title Tournament: Some great names and potential good matches in this. DGUSA has been interesting stuff since it began and has had a very good start. It takes a non-traditional format, with there being two singles matches, but also a threeway and a sixway, before heading to a fourway elimination final. With Naruki Doi and Shingo in a tag instead, I have no idea who could win this, but signs point to Davey. Could the first champion be a gaijin?
Participants so far: CIMA, Davey Richards, Super Crazy, Brian Kendrick, Young Bucks, Mike Quackenbush, YAMATO, BxB Hulk

Dragon Gate doesn't really interest me and the format for their tourney seems retarded, so definately not that.
Chikara's Cibernetico was good last year but this year's really doesn't interest me much at all. The whole face vs face thing doesn't cut it.
Survival Of The Fittest is probably the most interesting purely because of how important it is to ROH right now, it'll be interesting to see how it all plays out.
I want to wait until more people are put in the BOLA, though, as thats usually a decent at worst.

I'm pretty torn on DGUSA. There will be some fun spotfests made out of that formula, but it doesn't make much sense kayfabe-wise to give the guys in the tourney an uneven shot at winning.

Crazy's rumoured to be a regular in DGUSA, which I can't say I'm really fussed about. I can see him probably being involved in one of the tournament matches with Quack.

Even though I'm going to both the Chikara and DGUSA Event, I have a little bit more excitement driven towards the DGUSA Tournament mostly due to the factors that its the fresh company opening up with matches that will feature Shingo, Davey, Quack, Kendrick among others. Not to say that the Chikara event won't be solid but like Marketh and Steve have said before, there's no Heel involvement in this one match unless the SSB continue to break down and the war that UMB is getting himself into spills into Cibernetico but I'd say the DGUSA Tournament > Cibernetico.

For anyone still wondering about Crazy, this is what he's doing:
Quote:
October 12th: The first qualifying match for the Open The Freedom Gate Title tournament on 11/28 in Philadelphia has been signed. Each of the four qualifying matches will have a different theme. This one will be a "Salute To Skayde" as it will feature three athletes with a deep history with Jorge Rivera. The one fall, three-way bout will be CIMA vs. Mike Quackenbush vs. Super Crazy. Each of these competitors have their roots traced back to Rivera. CIMA and Quackenbush share him as a trainer. Super Crazy lost his mask to Rivera when he was only 14 and he would later feud with Rivera in AAA. Now this trio will battle and only one will advance to the four-way elimination main event that night to determine the first DGUSA Champion. Tickets are now on sale in the DGUSA.tv Store, by calling 267-519-9744 or you can pick up general admission tix in person at the new Jinxed store.
Sounds like a great spotfest waiting to happen.
