Only matches I'm interested in are Wolves/Briscoes and DCFC/Bucks. Hopefully it's true that Tyler can't make it to the show, because I'd rather the card be swapped around to Dragon/Aries.

Pretty interesting undercared for this show, actually looking forward to the matches from the crappy faction warfare stuff. Hopefully Aries/Petey is a squash or something.

lol. I hope Petey/Aries is actually good. It caught my eye out of everything I read. Can't wait for the grudge tag team match, and I'll have to just read Black/Dragon to decide if it's watchable.

Unfortunately, it probably won't be a squash. They seem to pushing Petey quite hard and I wouldn't be surprised to see him somehow going over in a non-title match.
Ideally, if they want Petey to have a title match, I'd have Aries win this by interference from King & Titus, and Petey being awarded a title shot at another show.

Re: ROH Chicago, IL "The Final Countdown Tour" - Card & Results Thread (Dragon vs Ari
I've been thinking. What are the chances that Dragon goes over and actually wins the title on his way out? Very slim, but hardly anyone thought PWG would give him the belt. If he went over Aries, then defended against Davey, then went to a draw with Nigel and, instead of keeping the title, he decided to return it to ROH.
It may not be the best booking decision and it will have made Aries' title run quite lackluster, but it sets up some possibilities. You've got the challengers of Roderick - who beat Dragon during the Final Countdown Tour, Hero - who will probably have done the same, Tyler - who won his last match against Dragon, and Aries obviously wanting his return title shot. Thoughts?
Someone please respond, I've been finding it difficult to put this into words. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Re: ROH Chicago, IL "The Final Countdown Tour" - Card & Results Thread
Maybe, but this way he gets at least one defence in and doesn't completely job on the way out. I think it's a good balance between losing every single match, thus devaluing the win as it goes on, and having a Joe Crushes the Roster Tour.
Like I said before, it could give them a good kick-start into a post Dragon/Nigel ROH without anyone looking totally bad.

Pre-Show
--No matches as of yet, still a long line for Bret Hart
--At least 400 people in the arena.
--Return date is December 5th
a. Brody Heffer d. Titan "somebody": cgstong didn't get Titan's last name. Said the crowd didn't like the finish because Titan was a "homeboy"...I'm going to assume he meant from Chicago.
b. Andy "Right Leg" Ridge & Tony Kozina d. Bravado Brothers
Main Show Results
1. Petey Williams d. Rhett Titus
2. “Skullkrusher” Rasche Brown d.Silas Young, Sal Rinauro, “Sugarfoot” Alex Payne, Alex O'Rielly, & Grizzly Redwood in a Six Man Mayhem Match
-- Nigel McGuinness is out to cut a promo. Good reaction from the crowd. He talks about the good times he's had.
-- JayJay just sent along that Bobby Cruise is ripping on a guy in a Jay Cutler jersey, saying the only thing worse than that would be wearing a TNA shirt!
3. Brent Albright & Bobby Dempsey d. The House of Truth: Crowd apparently loved it.
4. Necro Butcher d. Jimmy Rave in a Dog Collar Match. Ended with a "crazy submission with the chain around Rave's face."
-- After intermission, Bret Hart came out and cut a promo putting over ROH. Good reception from the crowd.
5. Young Bucks d. Dark City Fight Club
6. Colt Cabana d. Claudio Castagnoli - with a low blow. Crowd was way into it.
-- The Brisoces vs. American Wolves match is now a Tag Team Title Match!
7. The Briscoe Brothers d. The American Wolves by Disqualification: Davey Richards hit a top rope leg drop on ref Paul Turner to cause the DQ. Wolves retain the titles.
8. Austin Aries d. Bryan Danielson by submission. He retains the ROH World Title.
