Can't really recall many matches where the rival/rival vs tag team set-up actually produces quality, and this was a little underwhelming. Can't point to any obvious flaws, and everyone worked hard and looked solid, but it just wasn't as good as it could have been with these guys. At times it felt too much like an indy dream match. Danielson doesn't do indy dream matches though, and was pretty fun slapping Jay about and yelling at him to man up. I was kind of confused by the way they worked this, at the start the commentators were putting over how the Briscoes have the obvious advantage, but Danielson and Nigel controlled the body of the match and kept Jay in away from Mark. Nigel was maybe the best guy in the match and was working pretty damn stiff even by these guys' standards.
Solid if underwhelming match, though I can't begrudge them too much as this set-up rarely works.
