Ever since the initial set of “ROH on HDNet” TV tapings, a rivalry has emerged between one of the pillars of ROH and a man largely considered the future of the company: Bryan Danielson and Tyler Black. They have had several encounters outside of the TV realm, most notably at “Breakout” and “Bound by Hate”, but over the course of their matches on HDNet, a true rivalry has been born.
The first time out on HDNet, Bryan and Tyler went to a 20-minute draw. Round two of the series saw the match end in a double countout. Both men took part in the first ROH World Championship match seen on HDNet, and both came up short in that tremendous four way. They united to try and take the ROH World Tag Team Titles from The American Wolves, and were unsuccessful in that endeavor. Then, in their third go-round on HDNet, Tyler Black finally managed to slay the dragon and get his long awaited victory over Bryan Danielson.
Now on Saturday night September 19th, as part of ROH’s next sojourn into the Windy City, Bryan Danielson will get an opportunity to even the score. It will be Black vs. Danielson live at the Frontier Fieldhouse, and this one is certain to have repercussions on the ROH World Title picture. Both Danielson and Black want a crack at Austin Aries and his belt, and the winner of this contest will most certainly move one step closer to accomplishing that goal.

Anyone else bored by these matches yet? It just seems like lazy booking at this point, I mean, it's been just over a year since their first match and I think they've faced 6 more times since then. It's just milking it now. The matches are great quality, yeah, but some of the matches are pretty similar and I'd rather have a break from these two wrestling each other on HDNet. It's a pretty bad excuse for this to happen also. "an opportunity to even the score"? Dragon fucking won 3 matches in a row and Tyler just beat him once!

I thought it was bad when they faced each other twice in I think three/four weeks on HDNet. They have good matches together, but this is a great example of overkill.

Three times. And even that was bad enough. Also throw in the fact that 4/5 of Dragon and Tyler's matches on HDNet have included them both, if you add in the world title fourway and the tag with the Wolves.
Tbh, this match would have to be like a MOTYC or something, in order for me to be interested.

Oh wow, this is really ridiculous. Yes, they put on great matches but come on already! Lazy booking is no doubt a factor in this one, and I think if Gabe was still around...I don't even need to finish that because I'm sure it's well implied what I'm thinking. This is total overkill to the highest degree.
