I've just never been a fan of Brodie, i hated his match with Lynn, and in a couple of his matches all he seemed to do was a couple of power moves, but I can see why some people like him.
As for Jimmy, I hope he has another match with Delirious, they seem to have some decent chemistry. Anyways, the ME was good, they revisited some spots they had from the first match and they even threw in some new ones. Young Bucks where also alright, could have gone w/out Brents promo though.
Brodie is the big rig of the Chikara convoy. That's an integral role.
And I'm sure Jimmy'll face Delirious again. Probably not in ROH, atleast for the time being, but I could see it happening in IWA if Delirious shows up there again.
Just finished watching the show. Jimmy/Delirious was good, but felt like a waste of the Fight Without Honor gimmick. That match is for the likes of Dragon/Morishima, Strong/Stevens and Nigel/Rave. Not two guys in what is essentially a lowcard feud. Didn't care much for Delirious going over, considering he's not the most credible of wrestlers and Jimmy's already losing just about every match. At least this means the feud's probably over.
The Young Bucks were good fun. I'd like to see how a match between them and the DCFC would turn out.
The main event tag was really good, but I expect with all the hype surrounding Tag Title Classic, it's only half as good. Not the best of HDNet main events, but it was satisfying. Dragon slapping Tyler was gold.
This week was good too. The matches weren't outstanding, but they were enjoyable enough. Albright/Claudio was good fun, though not one of their better matches. Sugarfoot needs to fuck off. The six-man was the best match of the night and Jay/Roderick was a good hard-hitting match. Pretty much just what I expected from them.
Next week is the Steenerico/KENTA vs Wolves/Hero match, which I expect will be great stuff.
Yeah, really looking forward to next weeks show with that main event. And I really enjoyed the Brisco/Strong match. A good solid main event from to talented guys... The promo beforehand was pretty funny to.
This week's six-man was the best HDNet main event since the fourway for the title. It was awesome. Everyone was great in it (except maybe Generico, he's been awfully spotty lately) and it was exciting as anything. KENTA was probably the best thing in this match. Every time he was in the ring, I suddenly wanted to see him in a singles match with Hero, one with Edwards and a rematch with Davey. The interactions with Davey were great. I don't normally rate the HDNet matches, but I'd give it ***3/4.
The rest of the show was dull. Bucks/Young & Fish should've been a porpoise match, but the crowd sounded dead and I don't think anyone really wanted a 10-minute match with these guys. Delirious/Brodie I just couldn't care about it enough.
Great show this week. Dragon/Tyler III (in reality, VI) is a rival for best HDNet match with the world title fourway. It was a good job of climaxing their series and using things like the dive/countout from their previous matches to build up this one. The crowd wasn't perfect, booing Tyler until the end, when this should've been his big night, but it was still pretty hot throughout. Great story told in this to finally give Tyler his big singles win over Dragon and proving himself as a worthy main eventer.
Embassy/GrizzlyNecro tag was meh, and the SHIMMER tag was skippable.
Pretty good this week. I think I liked it as much as last week's episode. Instead of having two dud matches and one great match, it just had two pretty good matches and a squash. The opening tag was great fun, despite the couple of botches and I liked King & Titus going over. Kingston/Butterscotch was this week's Porpoise Match. The threeway was better than I expected and solid action. I'm really into D-Lo now.
The opening segment was pretty bad, imo. For once, I thought Nigel was bad on the mic and I hated everything Tyler said. I didn't like his selling of the belt shot either.
