One I've been waiting for, but a toughie. Dragon may have had a better career overall and be more likely to succeed at the big time, but Nigel has been at his best since he won the title and has also been consistently putting on great matches. They've both had two of the best title runs in ROH, lengthy, and both shortened by injuries. These two are undeniably the best ROH has to offer at the moment.
I'm sticking to Dragon because of his overall career, but I do think Nigel may have had better matches last year.

I love Nigel, but I think las year proved he isn't capable of mixing it as much as Danielson is or as good at working long matches, or carrying matches as Danielson is.

Maybe so. He certainly didn't get his usual quality matches with Pearce, Ruckus, Jacobs and Necro, but I think the rest of the time he had matches of very high quality even in ones where he wasn't defending the belt. He had some great tags with Go and Claudio too. Nevertheless, if you remove Dragon's title shots, there's still a large amount of 4*+ matches from the beginning of his title run, up to now.

You spelled Nigel's name wrong, two 'N's buddy...two 'N's. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
Nigel's title reign really did a lot to change my opinion of him. Before the title win, I really thought he was hit or miss. However, he showed that he was capable of being in one of the better matches every night and even rack in a few MOTYC defenses. Nigel truly etched in stone the fact that he's one of the best ROH has to offer.
However, when looking at the career of Nigel, how many of his best matches involved Danielson? While some of Danielson's best matches came against Nigel, he still has the Joe, Aries, Homicide, Low-Ki and Morishima matches to fall back on.
As good as Nigel is, he just isn't that good.
