I can't agree with you more. Brawling used to be rare and fun but when Necro got put on the roster, it got annoying as fuck! Every damn match was the same and I found myself wondering "Why the hell is he still on the roster?!". I don't mind brawling but when it is with the same damn wrestler all the time, it gets frustrating.

Nah, ROH/indy brawls have always been like that. I rewatched the Briscoes/Steenerico street fight and it was more or less the same shitfest with zero selling and thousands of chairshots. I think the Briscoes are as big a culprit as Necro is, but even then something like the Raven/Punk Dog Collar match could easily be argued to be the same deal.
Necro is just watered down ridiculously in ROH. He comes off almost as a paraody of himself.

Watching some of the old Rottweiler matches, you saw the same kind of brawls back in 2004-2005. The main difference is that you didn't get it at every show.

I think the Briscoes/Steenerico streetfight is a bad example. Sure, it had some of the aspects of what I described as a typical ROH brawl, but it was actually a very good match. It was definitely hurt by the lack of storytelling, but it also had that heated feud to back it up and they were going balls-to-the-wall in that match. The matches I'm talking about are the ones where you have guys like Necro and Delirious wrestling sloppy and (at least, imo) not putting on an interesting match. Briscoes/Steenerico was an incredible feud and deserved violent matches, while Necro/Delirious...you can't even call what they had a feud, yet they somehow got into hardcore matches and did a bad job at them.
I'm not doubting The Briscoes were a culprit in 2008, the majority of their matches with AOTF were just terrible and booked badly.
