First one is ok, bg is solid, but the blending could be better, text is alright. I don't really like the layout of the sig, cause it leaves a lot of empty space.
Second one has a good concept, but I feel it could have been a bit better if you had added some effects to the text.

I think you made the first one too big...too much empty space imo.

the second one I really do not like, no offense, I do not like text only banners in general...

good for a beginner like me lol

banner 1: 8/10
banner 2: 5/10

This banner is nice. The backround is solid and has a nice look. The blending is weak and could have been been much better. Maybe add a Gradient Map or some filters to even it all out. Text fits and looks nice, so overall 7/10.

Not really liking it. The backround is weak and doesn't look very good. I recomend you use alot of splatter and other wilid brushes when making a text banner plus some others thing that make a good banner. Text is weak, so overall 5/10.

6/7 range not the greatest. not digging the background.

And the sexiest lady alive is Jessica Alba hands down. Fergie has a nice body but her face isnt cute at all.
