Neither Miz nor Morrison were pinned, as Hawkins pinned Jesse to win the titles.[47] Afterwards, they started a feud with Cryme Tyme through each team's Internet show, which then transitioned to matches on Raw. Orton won the match by pinning Cena after a Pedigree from Triple H.[117] The following month, at Backlash, Orton lost the title to Triple H in a Fatal Four-Way Elimination match, which also included Cena and John "Bradshaw" Layfield. On the December 1 episode of Raw, Orton proposed that he along with Cody Rhodes and Manu form an alliance. The following week, they made it official, by defeating Batista and Triple H, Orton's former stablemates, in a three-on-two handicap match, dubbing themselves The Legacy.

A very tough match indeed as I could have easily seen both of these guys advancing far into this tournament even Elite 8 status but in this match what I saw was Orton at the top of the charts in 08 at the Rumble (I was there) where he defeated Hardy. Then making the shocking victory in my mind atleast at WM 24 by beating both Cena and HHH and then basically he got hurt at ONS and when he came back towards the end of 08 He was on fire and his speaking skills had really stepped it up since he came back. Morrison had just as good of a year really winning both Tag Team Titles a cool Slammy and the respect of me with the hit or miss dirt sheet with their "comedy". Morrison I think is another guy like Swagger that is bonafide Main Event in the next 2 year but now, it's Orton's time to reign.

I was going purely by who had the better year (well and also who I prefer), but Orton's done nothing of interest post-'Mania so I went with Morrison who is well, more enjoyable at least this year, if not better.

Orton started off with a solid title reign. However, he was out for a good portion of the year. When he was around, I was never a big fan of his matches.
While I find Morrison insanely overrated, he's slowly been marching through 2008 the best he could. He and The Miz had one of the best WWE tag team titles since the title was created. The entire year, Morrison looked as if he was on the brink of making it 'Big' in the WWE. It's been interesting seeing what Morrison was going to do in 2008. Being one of the two main guys who did something for the tag team division beats out a world title reign that I couldn't care less about.

I am going to go for Morrison too, but it is mainly due to Orton's injury and the fact that all his title reign accomplished was to put Triple H over. >_>
Since his injury, he hasn't had time to do much, while Morrison has been entertaining throughout the year and as Jim says, has helped the tag division. Morrison is constantly wrestling on all three brands and putting on some very entertaining tag matches. I can see him doing something big in 09 if WWE have any sense.
If Orton hadn't got hurt he would probably have taken this tbf.

Orton for me. Main evented several PPVs, had arguably the more entertaining title run of 08 (and 07 tbf), and now is in a stable. Big year for him opposed to Morrison who has just been floating around in the tag division.

Too definite Quarter Finalists in First round lol, judging by both there years which was quite close imo, I went with Orton he had a good year and put on some good matches, while Morrison was close but no cigar To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. As good and as consistant as Morrison has been as of late, Orton's title reun at the begining of the year really solidified himself as the heel ace of the company.
