In 2008 L.A.X. got another title shot by beating The Rock 'n Rave Infection and The Motor City Machineguns at Destination X and was cashed in on the 4/17/08 edition of Impact! against the Tag Team Champions A.J. Styles and Tomko and the team that won Cuffed in a Cage at Lockdown, Eric Young/Super Eric and Kaz. At the end of the match Super Eric and Kaz won but the decision was revoked due to Eric Young and Super Eric not being the same person and apparently was considered outside interference when Young left and came back as Super Eric for the win. Currently there are no Tag Team Champions. On the May 8th edition of impact Hernandez and homicide attacked team 3D,Cage, and Rhino during their impromptu brawl backstage.

At Sacrifice, LAX won the vacant TNA World Tag Team Championship after defeating Team 3D in the "Deuces Wild Tournament". LAX lost the Titles at Hard Justice to Beer Money Inc. (James Storm and Robert Roode).

At the Second Final Resolution in 2008 both Hernandez and Homicide each captured a brief case from the feast or fired match which contained a TNA World title shot for Hernandez and an X Division Title Shot for Homicide.

In the weeks leading up to the Royal Rumble, Hardy and Randy Orton engaged in a personal feud. At Armageddon in December 2008, Hardy defeated the defending champion Edge and Triple H in a triple threat match to capture the WWE Championship.
