Generico lost a second match to McGuinness at Glory by Honor VII.

As much as it was a good year for Generico, Kota broke out in Japan and the States, so I have to go with him.

This was probably Ibushi's breakout year, especially in the US and he's established himself as a great highflyer who's put on several MOTYCs. Unfortunately, he won't go past this round because Generico has had an even better year. He's consistantly good, had one of the best angles of the year culminating in one of the best matches of the year and he's one of the most over guys on the ROH roster.

Oh, this is fucking difficult. Generico (and Steen) has had the best year of his career. Not only reaching their goals of becoming tag team champions, but also really developing as a singles competitor. Ibushi on the hand has really broke out, as Mark said, and has become one of the "must-see" guys in the wrestling business.
However I can't put Ibushi past Generico. Generico has just had too many great matches this year.
