[edit] Raw brand
Kingston as the Intercontinental ChampionAs part of the 2008 WWE Supplemental Draft, Kingston was drafted to the Raw brand.[26] He took the Intercontinental Championship from Chris Jericho at Night of Champions in Dallas, Texas on June 29, in his first match as a member of the Raw roster.[7] The win made him the first Ghanaian wrestler to hold a championship in World Wrestling Entertainment.[27] Kingston held the championship until August's SummerSlam, where he and Women's Champion Mickie James both lost their championships in a intergender "winner take all" tag team match to Beth Phoenix and Santino Marella.[28]
At Unforgiven, he appeared backstage, coming to the aid of then World Heavyweight Champion, CM Punk, whom had been attacked by Manu, Randy Orton, and the World Tag Team Champions Cody Rhodes and Ted DiBiase Jr.. Soon after coming to his rescue Punk and Kingston were paired together more often, and on the October 27, 2008 Raw the duo took the World Tag Team titles. He was also involved at Survivor Series in the traditional ten-men elimination tag team match on the side of Team Batista, but was eliminated by Randy Orton. Kingston and Punk would then lose the World Tag Team Championship to John Morrison and The Miz at a WWE live event.

Re: Wrestler Of The Year 2008: Round One Match Two
Kofi has had an amazing year. Debuting, soon winning the IC title, and even winning the tag strap with Punk. But either way it's near impossible to beat Nigel who not only put on several great matches time after time but also was ROH world champion for the entire calendar year.

Re: Wrestler Of The Year 2008: Round One Match Two
Kofi may be with the bigger company, and yes he had two totally forgettable title reigns... but McGuiness had been owning the ass out of ROH all year..... it's no contest IMO
Re: Wrestler Of The Year 2008: Round One Match Two
This isn't even close. Nigel has had a damn near Wrestler of the Year type of a year. Kofi started off good with a nice push, but then was forgotten and randomly put in meaningless midcard matches.

Re: Wrestler Of The Year 2008: Round One Match Two
Kofi has had a phenomenal year in WWE probably the best up and rising star this year, but Nigel on the other hand has held the ROH title for the whole year so he gets my vote.
Re: Wrestler Of The Year 2008: Round One Match Two
This is a no brainer. Kofi has held an IC title & tag title in the top company, but Nigel has held a very reputable ROH title for a calendar year. Nigel by a mile.

Re: Wrestler Of The Year 2008: Round One Match Two
Eh, Kofi is overrated, and after being handed the IC title in his first RAW appearance, hasn't accomplished anything. I don't need to say why Nigel has had a better year....
