Simply put, what is your least favorite match stipulation? If your least favorite happens to be a one off used by a company such as TNA (>_>) then you can also come up with a commonly used gimmick which you particularly dislike also.
The one off thing is too difficult for me to answer. TNA in particular have come up with too many horrible concepts. In recent years we have seen a blindfold match, a doomsday chamber of blood, a last rites match, a little italy street fight, a prison yard match etc etc. All of those were pretty horrible.
As for a commonly used match stipulation, I hate the Terrordome/Steel Asylum, and I also highly dislike first blood matches. If you want to see a brutal match, why would you want one that ends as soon as blood is visible? I don't need to explain the shitness of the Steel Asylum, but I will anyway: Too many guys, too little room. That, and the fact that the objective (to escape through the hole in the top) makes it seem more like Gladiators than wrestling.

I doubt anything will be able to top the awfulness of WCW's Tower Of Doom. If you think the TerrorDome reminds you of Gladiators, this match was closer to It's A Knockout.

lol I have heard terrible things about the Tower of Doom, but I have never seen it.
I also hate the ones that arn't in the ring. I just watched the New York City Parking Lot Brawl from Great American Bash this year, and it was so bad. Same with things like the Boiler Room Brawls.

Reverse Battle Royal - The thing that made it so bad was how unrealistic it was. The camera kept showing shots of wrestlers doing nothing when they could of easily just got in the ring. I do give credit to TNA for trying to take an old favorite (Battle Royal) and spin a new twist on it. But it failed miserably. Which brings me to:
World War 3 Match - I can actually understand the logic behind the match. The Royal Rumble was insanely over. So WCW doubled the wrestlers and added 2 more rings. However, what WCW failed to realize that in the Royal Rumble, the most wrestlers in at any time is around 10. And even then, that doesn't last too long. With 3 twenty man battle royals going on at the same time, it made it impossible to follow any one battle royal with all of the camera cuts. So what we got instead was just mindless fighting (With 20 men, it was impossible to do ANY wrestling moves). This is a case of bigger doesn't mean better. For some unknown reason, WCW decided to run this show 4 straight years even though it was always one of the worst shows in terms of buyrates.
___ On a Pole Match - It doesn't matter what the object is, the match is terrible. The Pole match is a lot like a Ladder Match, just minus the logic. You have both wrestlers fighting and trying to hard to climb up the pole to get the object. However, once someone gets it, the match still continues. At times, the wrestlers sell normal moves more than they sell shots with the weapon. Hell, a good amount of times, the weapon doesn't even come into play with the finish. Then keep in mind this is basically a No-DQ match. If I was in the match and my opponent started climbing the pole, I'd quickly roll out of the ring and grab a chair. He can get the lousy Coal Miner's Glove, Nightstick, Brass Knuckles or whatever. I'm just going to bash him brains out with a fuckin' chair. Elimination Chamber. It just seems so pointless to have people "locked up" and then wrestle. Actually, it's not pointless, it's just fucking stupid. I think it was just another way for WWE to sell the "brutality of steel/metal/whateverthefuckJRramblesaboutwhenhesays20tonsofsom ethingoranother.

Dustin Rhodes vs Blacktop Bully - King Of The Road Match.
We have a winner!
I believe this match, they were both on the back of a pick up truck or whatever American's call it, and the first one to the cabin and pressed the horn was the winner. Yeah, epic.

The King of the Road was wrestlecrap fun though. With all of the hay and the fact that there were tall gates protecting the wrestlers, it's hard not to laugh during the match. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
