In your opinion, what is the best WM main event ever? In my personal opinion, I opt for the Rock/Austin match at WM17. I vote it myself as the best pro wrestling match of all time, with incredible build up and an unbelieveable match up, spots, and especially the ending, which was perhaps the most controversial ending in Wrestlemania history and set up a whole new era for WWE (The Invasion Angle).
So yes, would do you think is the best WM main event of all time out of the current 24?
I'm moving this to old school because it doesn't deal with the current product.
And I would go with Wrestlemania 17 too. Two massive stars, two of the biggest in WWE history, both already established as huge faces and putting on a tremendous match which is pretty much unmatched in terms of drama and emotion, at least from the Wrestlemania main events I have seen. The whole match was just great with amazing psychology really helped by the no DQ stip which was added for the Austin turn. They really put over the title by showing just what two guys would do to get their hands on it, particularly Austin, who sold his soul to the devil.
Amazing match.

Yeah, nothing beats Rock/Austin for me. Everything about the match is so well done. Loads of intensity and hatred, awesome crowd heat, great back and forth action and some epic PSYCOLOGY. The heel turn was also pretty insane and I loved how they threw that small element of doubt in there right at the end.
A close second would be the Benoit vs HHH vs Michaels triple threat. Just everything you want in a match right there. I loved how the crowd were 100% behind Benoit and everyone just wanted him to win. The way HHH and Michaels have to momentarily team up to take him out fo the equation is great, and then he fights back~! The final strecth of this match is one of the most epic things I've ever seen in wrestling.
Third place would be Angle/Lesnar. Just an awesome match through and through.

WM12, Iron Man Match HBK/Bret 70 minutes beats Angle/Lesnar IMO.
And I cannot believe PWtorch gave Rock/Austin ****1/2 and gave Triple threat *****. What a joke.
Doesn't really bother me what ratings other people give matches tbh, but yeah Rock/Austin is better. Both great though.
Wrestlemania 12 is good but I don't think it is as good as Angle/Lesnar. It is a match which is underrated by many but overrated by many too. Good Ironman match but nothing amazing imo.

Why are people so insistent that the Iron Man match was good? As much as I love a slow building match, it took 45 minutes before they even did anything more than an armbar every other minute. Hands down one of the worst WM main events ever.
