A match between these two was teased a few years back. Firstly I believe at RAW's Homecoming show on the USA network back in 05 (a show I rewatched recently).. where Hogan said in a promo that he'd like to have a match with Austin and also at the Hall Of Fame ceremony in 06 when Steve said that he had a can of wupass with Hulk's name on it.
Now 2 years later after all of the teasing would this be a match people would still like to see? I faintly remember reading something about Austin possibly having a retirement match at next years mania, obviously its just a rumour but it got me thinking about wether or not we would ever see these two legends lock up. If Hogan could come to terms with Vince about working something with Steve.. would you be for it?

Personally, I'd love to see it. It might not be a classic as far as actual wrestling goes, but can you just imagine the atmosphere? Especially if they did at WM25. Austin would be in his backyard but he is facing the most popular wrestler of all time. The crowd would totally be split. Both men are obviously no where near where they were in their prime, but this is the kind of match that would sell a show. One last match from each men. Although, if Austin was to return for one last match, I'd rather have it against someone like Orton, but this match would still definitely do the job.

If I'm bein honest, no not really. Both men really need to be in the ring with someone who can help carry them at this point, having two wrestlers like this against each other could be quite poor and I'd rather see neither man that see a shitty match. If it did somehow happen, I'd be kind of annoyed because I'm sick of seeing people fed to Hogan on his countless pointless comebacks. Honestly, what was the fucking point of having Hogan go over Orton? What a load of shit. Austin's returns may also be tiring and bury some guys, but not to the same extent Hogan's are. Seeing the clearly superior wrestler job once again in a wannabe "classic" is not something I want to see.
