Without a question "Macho Man" randy Savage is the first thing i think of when i hear the word "Promo". The mans mic skills are the best in the buissness IMO. He can change your opinion of somebody just by one promo and everytime he speaks ino that microphone your blown away. Well i am anyway.
Another one that is up there is the Rock, He could be hilarious, He could be serious or he could be just straight to the point and he knew how to get the fans notice. He was up there on the list of greatest talkers for sure.
Recently i think the best has got to be christian Cage, He has so much charisma and his lines are brilliant. For example his promo at genesis 2007 for his match against Kaz in a ladder match. He tells Kaz that he is a legened in ladder matches and once you get up the top there is only one place to go. Thats not how it really went but the way he said it was brillaint and i think in a few years he may be up there with the Flairs, Foleys,Rocks, ravens and savages.
I like Christian a lot but I personally feel he is overrated both in the ring and on the mic, although his mic skills are more impressive than his ring skills. Edge is far better than Cage in my opinion. Edge is possibly the best on the mic in wrestling today. Edge can be serious and he can also be funny, but whatever he says, he knows exactly how to say it to make the crowd hate him.
Chris Jericho has been producing some amazing stuff on the mic recently, so I have to say him as another one in today's WWE. He has become an incredible heel with his remorseless and epic serious character. Michaels has been great too of course.
I would probably be boring and say The Rock for the best I have ever heard. Simply amazing, both serious and humorous, face or heel.

One of the many reasons why it makes me laugh when people give Foley credit for nothing more than being a spot monkey.
When people say that, they mean in the ring.
Any "Greatest Talkers" thread would be incomplete with Dusty Rhodes. To this day, the Hard Times interview is the single best interview of all time. 20 years later, it's still (If not more) relevant then when it was originally shown.

Possibly. So you would agree that Foley is up there with the best?
Mhmm. I've said so in my Jim thread before. He's up there with the likes of Rhodes, Roberts and Piper. His Anti-Hardcore promos in ECW were some of the best promos of the 90's.

I was watching some Billy Graham promo's that I magically found somewhere. He was brilliant, so many one liners. I am the man of the hour, too sweet to be sour. Lines like that get stuck in your head.
