I know the Observer's mostly smark populated, but let's take this time to appreciate how fantastic Nigel's nearly-year-long reign has been. ROH 2008 is definitely the year of Nigel McGuinness.

I concur completely, Nigel is by far and away the best champion in the world and has been all year, and he's probably the best heel in the world too. The WWE and Japan reigns are pretty bad, but even if they were of a good level Nigel would still blow them out the water.
How is Joe .4 behind Nigel? Joe has had a pretty bland title run.

Please explain how Nigel is the best champ in the world right now. If ROH was smart, they would've had Nigel drop the belt to Chris Hero when that feud was at it's high point a few months ago. If they were smarter, they wouldn't do rematches like the one with El Generico for no fucking reason at all. The thing about Nigel's reign is that it's super repetitive. They've had tons of ending points that would've been awesome like the aforementioned Hero. It also would've been awesome had Nigel dropped the belt to Claudio. Nigel is getting bland, and they need to do something about it. That is all.
Name me one champion who is better than Nigel please.
Nigel has been booked like a champion should be booked, he's been made to look dominant. Not only has he pretty much beat all on-comers decisively, he's produced alot of MOTYCs whilest doing so. Nigel has arguably been one of the most consistant wrestlers in the world this year. He's probably the best heel in the world too, top three at the least. The way he works the crowd and gets the epic amount of heat is almost un-paralleled, especially when your fanbase is a mostly "smark" crowd.
Look at the other people on that list:
Joe - beaten some guys who are past their prime and has been booked terribly.
HHH - Has had next to zero actual competition for his title
Mutoh - Has had two defences and both were pretty average
Morishima - one of the worst title runs in recent memory
-Ciber - has beaten the same two guys over and over
-Dos - rarely even defends the title
-Suwana - has had two defences, the second went to a 60 minute draw.
So yeah, thats how Nigel is the best champ there.

I'll get into it later, but there's layers to why I don't like Nigel's reign. I'm writing a Physics lab right now though so I don't have the time. I'll do it though. Promise.
I'm not saying Nigel's reign is flawless, and I'm sure you will nit-pick every detail (as is the trend with ROH-hate bandwagon as of late), but he's a better champion than all the others, and that's enough.
