Arguably the best cage match in recent years getting squashed by the original Wargames. This is Jim's way of proving older stuff's superiority To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
Edge/Hardy is a really good match. Lots of great hatred between them, an awesome crowd and some great psycology. I dig the way Edge instantly tryed to get out the cage as soon as Hardy started to lay into him with offence, and the way Edge targeted Hardy's previously injured head made it a very smart, focused match as well as emotional. Hardy gets the crap beaten out of him and makes a great comeback, and just goes beserk on Edge. Hell, I forgot how epic that match was, I wouldn't argue with someone if they said it was Hardy's best match. The finish as well...holy fuck.
But then again, what bad can you say against the Wargames match? It's damn near flawless. Amazing atmosphere, amazing intensity, every entrant takes the match in a new direction and lots of brutality. Definetly lived up to it's hype in books.
Wargames clearly gets the nod and probably will go on to the win the whole thing, though it's a shame to see, what in my opinion is, the best cage match of the last half a decade go out in the first round.
