Where's our War Games: The Match Beyond DVD? To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. While they're releasing several HIAC matches numerous times within a year, to date, only 2 War Games matches (to my knowledge) has ever been released on WWE DVD. They added the 3rd (1988) War Games match to the 4 Horsemen DVD and added the 5th (1991) War Games match to Brian Pillman's DVD. Meanwhile, all of these other great matches are STILL not available.
The early War Games matches were credited as being MOTYC's. Up until 1993, War Games was easily one of the highlights of the year for WCW. Even though the quality dropped near the end, War Games was still the center of major storyline events such as the truth behind Sting and the nWo Sting and Hennig joining the nWo.
I believe there was 13 War Games matches in WCW (Including the Nitro one in 2000). With each match only being about 20 minutes, you can easily slap all 13 on 2 discs and throw on short 1 hour documentary about the match.
Enough of releasing the same shit over and over, release a War Games DVD already. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

I'd love this idea personally. I think it'd be highly enjoyable, even without the 1 disk documentary. Instead of Documentary, maybe they could expand it to three disk and before each match have some guys like Flair, etc. talk about the match and the build to it.

that would be a good dvd.

I don't think he so much hates the idea, but he doesn't want to give them any credit on current TV. A DVD though, would just be an easy way to bring in money.

Stu your forgetting, that if Vince didn't want any WCW related stuff on WWE television or DVD than they wouldn't of had a Four Horseman DVD, seeming as the WWE is going through a Ric Flair craze they could at least give us a War Games DVD the match which Flair participated in more than any other wrestler I think. Come on WWE!!
that would be a good dvd.

I heard that the idea of doing a War Games match was turned down because there would be a problem with the camera angles or something.
But a DVD could be great. I have never even seen a War Games match but I have heard a lot about them. I don't find it difficult to believe that Vince isn't keen on showcasing other people's ideas when he could be showcasing WWE stuff though.
That said, WWE is a business and WCW was so popular that there would be a huge market for a DVD such as this.

I second the motion for me WCW DVDs, especially a DDP one To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. Only seen one War Games and it was utter shit tbh, though I've downloaded one of the better ones so I expect good things.
I doubt we'll ever see many WCW DVds whilest Vince is still in charge though.

Should I assume it was one of the last ones? Pretty much any of the classic Horsemen War Games matches are great. They really ruined the match near the end by throwing so much gimmick or storyline into it.

Lucky me. This month on 24/7 the shorties section was the War Games match. They have aired the 87, 89, 91, 92, 93, 94, 95, 96, 98, and 00 War Games matches. They won't air 97 cause of Benoit and they didn't do one in 89. So I got all of them in DVD quality cause of 24/7.

I'm not sure what year it was, but it was WCW vs NWO vs The Wolfpack (that's what they were called right? To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. ) The main focus was on Ultimate Warrior and Hogan fueding with Warrior ripping a hole in the cage to chase Hogan...
I downloaded one of the mosre highly rated one (you posted it To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts. ) so I guess that'll be a better judge of character on the match...
