I'm fairly sure there was discussion of Vengence '07 before and you said there was nothing special there. Plus everything else I've heard about it sounds pretty bad.
Again, I'm not saying he doesn't have the ability to put on a great straight match, just that you wouldn't know it by watching some of his stuff. This is more just me teabagging on him for lols more than anything though.

I didn't like the PPV. I liked the match, but as I said then, it wasn't special as in MOTYC. I said so at the time but rewatched it and realised how wrong I was. Still good though.
A couple of my unpopular opinions is the following
1. Mr. Kennedy is overrated by the IWC
2. Alot of the younger superstars that are 2nd or 3rd generation...tend to be overated by the IWC at an early part in their careers.
3. Wrestling matches tend to be less exciting when there is a dead crowd. I believe two men or two women could go out there and deliver an incrediable match...but if the crowd isn't into it...it kills the momentum of it all.

I don't think many denies it. Most will often say the crowd reaction made matches like Joe vs Kobashi from good to great and made fair to decent matches of Cena vs Hunter (WM 22) and Cena vs RVD to very memorable.

Another example could easily be Hogan vs The Rock. I do think it is memorable...that's my opinion. And I think the crowd literally had alot to do with making it very memorable. I sat there one time and actually tried to channel out the crowd reaction...and from what I seen...well it wasn't the best contest (LOL). But the way the crowd reacted...and the way both men played off two them made it great. I am one to watch a great mat classic...especially when it looks REAL competitive which I why I love the Steamboat and Flair (Rumble in Chi-Town). But in that the crowd was way into...well build up and very believable wrestling. But if Steamboat and Flair went out there and wrestled their hearts out...and the crowd was dead (That would of never happend by the way) then it brings down the momentum to it. They could be doing everything that made perfect sense, and if the crowd isn't buying it...then it just isn't as exciting as it could be.

As much as I love Steamboat, I could never get into the Chi-town Rumble match. It seemed like as soon as I was getting into the match, there was the ref bump that led to the finish.

LOL Just kidding, your a fan of horror so you should no the refrence
I totally forgot about the ref bump and go figure that...because I watch that match alot. I was more innamered of what they were doing in the ring...lots of excitement in that match in my opinion. If Steamboat isn't put in the HOF soon then that be a damn crime!
