Yeah, I was a pretty big Page mark, myself. Jericho was always good too. Even back then when WCW wasn't really using him well, it was obvious he was going to be big later.

Rey Mysterio and some of the other cruiserweights. The Filthy Animals and Jung Dragons = RATINGS! But most of the cruiserweights put on such great matches in WCW and offered something the WWF/E has never even come close to. Even after the death of WCW when some of them came over to the WWE they were either majorly toned down like Rey or the WWE were totally lost with them like Ultimo. Hell the Jung Dragons were a great stable and the WWE turned two of them into rednecks while Kaz was only seen one time in the WWE.
Thats a tough question. At the beginning of WCW it was Sting with D.D.P. perhaps coming in second. Then when Bret Hart came it was Bret, but only because I follow his Career from the WWF. If I was able to watch WCW from the very beginning it'd be a toss up between Bret and Sting. Scott Hall was 2nd with D.D.P.
Ive been watching some clips with the filthy animals from late 2000's i dont see how people can like them!? Especially konnan i cant see why he was put into the wolfpac
Overall i'd have to say Sting, because when i think of WCW thats who i think of first. 2nd would probably be DDP or Benoit. (not saying i like the guy now, just then.)
Chris Benoit became my favorite at Fall Brawl 1997. I just fell in love with all of the intensity he showed in the match. Whether it was taking on the nWO two-on-one with the commentators selling how incredible Benoit was (Something like 'Who needs a 4th member when we have Benoit') or at the end when Benoit was handcuffed to the cage. Instead of just being beat up, Benoit was spitting at Nash and at one point was even trying to gnaw his wrist off to help Flair. Benoit made a scripted match feel so real to me.
Move forward in time some and Benoit was starting up the feuds with Raven, Booker T and DDP. Each and every match, it really looked as if he gave it his all. Benoit was such a stark contrast from the main eventers at the time. He was less talk and more action.
Thanks to especially Benoit around this time, my tastes in wrestling changed. I cared less about the "Entertainment" aspect of the show and I wanted to see more quality in the matches.
Rey Mysterio. The mask, the moves, and the quickness.
To me, he was the Allen Iverson of wrestling. I was used to seeing guys like, Lex Luger, Ric Flair, Bret Hart, and guys that were slow or technical wrestlers. The story lines didn't matter once i saw him on tv. He's one of the main reason i watched WCW every week.
RevRun-Gods gift to u is ur talent.. what u do with it is ur gift 2 him... REAL TALK
