What was so good about it?
You had each company giving it there best. Trying make the stories better, rising news stars, pushing news stars, making factions. Than there was the verbal talk. Eric Bischoff challenging Vince McMahon and the WWE in of the form of D.X. invading WCW.
Stone Cold vs Bill GoldBerg. They never had a match between eachother, but each represented the companies biggest badd ass. The rebel without a cause and the wrecking machine, because Goldberg would take out his opponents almost as quick as a count of 1. 2. 3.
During the Monday Night Wars it was more like each fan watching there sports team. You weren't picking your favorite wrestler you were picking your favorite team. The WWE or WCW. It was a war not just between companies, but between fans. I remember seeing people with NWO shirts saying WWF/E sucked And fans with Austin 3:16 shirts saying WCW sucked. It was like Rap Fans vs Rock fans they just wouldn't get along.
What do you think made the rivalry so special?
