Who are your Favourite original ECW wrestlers. Here is mine:

well recently ive been wathing a crap load of ecw dvds from wrestlepalooza to hardcore heaven and some youtube stuff.So im gonna have quite a large list.

1.Terry Funk....Mainly because he made the NWA bit of ecw.He made the extreme attitude of it before shane done what he did.Also he would come back once and a while and still put on top matches and help heyman push talent like stevie richards and others.He deserves alot of respect for that.

2.Shane douglas...In my opinioon he is the badd ass of ECW.He was talented,aggro and funny. His persona of the franchise i believe really made him who he is today and i believe the greatest supertstar to hold the ECW TV title.

3.Sandman..... Personally im not a fan he puts on second rate matches but if it wasnt for sandman austin wouldnt be who he is today. Everytime sandman came down to the ring it was exiting even though youve seen it one hundred times.I really respect sandman for one thing though and that is help push tommy dreamer especially in the singapore cane match.

4.Tommy dreamer.....The pretty boy hehehehe.No but seriously dreamer was never used in ECW to his full potential and i think that was one of the mistakes ecw made.With his raven fued they should have given dreamer some falls against him but none the less a great ecw champ and a great talent to ecws roster.

5.The pitbulls....Easily my favourite team of ECW.They were powerhouses and were great champs.I dont remember from all the matches ive watched that the pitbulls had a second rate match.

6.The eliminators....I havent seen that much of kronus and saturn as a team i would of seen probably about 5 matches but these guys can fight.They have a sick finisher and put on great matches from what ive seen.

7.RVD...He had some great matches with jerry lynn and others.He carried all the titles well and put on soem of the greatest matches in ECW history.

8.The tazmaniac heheh....That was a sad gimmick but when he was taz he was the ebst ecw had to offer.Taz wouldnt bow to no body wheather it was BAM BAM or Sabu he wouyld step up and prove himself.Also i believe him and dreamer were the most loyal to ECW and they should be respected for that.Greatest FTW champion ever lol.

I didn't watch is as religiously as some, but I had a lot of love for the work in the original ECW of all the following -

Raven
Cactus Jack
Stevie Richards
Jerry Lynn
"Impact Players"
Terry Funk
Bam Bam Bigelow
Beulah (with all my heart....nothing to do with wrestling)
Matches between Mike Awesome and Masato Tanaka (though not their matches against anybody else!)

I also liked the short term contribution there from Benoit, Eddie, Malenko and Mysterio, not so much Jericho who was nothing like what he became in his ECW tenure.

I was never a fan of Tazz, Shane Douglas, Pitbulls, Sandman, Eliminators, Tommy Dreamer, Sabu, RVD, Gangstas, Mikey Whipwreck or even the Dudleys in ECW. Though did love the Dudleys in their WWE and TNA incarnation.

Shane Douglas : He was a guy you loved to hate, superb mic skills and a great wrestler.

Cactus Jack : The greatest promo guy and one of the sickest wrestler, a legend in ECW.

Tommy Dreamer : '' Please sir can i have another '' the famous words while he was being tortured by Sandman with the cane. The heart of ECW.

Sinister Minister : Gotta love the mic skills from this great manager.

Justin Credible : Huge fan of him and his World Title rain,

Rhyno : My fav ECW Original, this guy was one bad ass, pile driving sandman's wife off the apron through a table was so sick.

Raven : Another one of my favs this guy had it wall, heat, promo skills and could wrestle.

Stevie Richards : What can i say? besides just awesome

Lance Storm : The second Impact Player on the list a true great.

Terry Funk: This guy deserves credit for putting ECW on the map really, he was a corderstone of the company in its NWA days and adapted to its hardcore style once it became 'extreme'. Even in his early 50s was still capable of falling off ladders, smashing through tables and putting on near 5* classics.

Rob Van Dam: His unique wrestling style was quick to grab my attention, and within somewhat 10 seconds I was a fan of his work. At a time was the only reason I watched the product.

Sandman: I loved this gimmick, how he'd have his own entrance, come to the ring after having a can of beer, smoking a cigarette and being half bloodied before his match even starts. Definately not one of the giftest workers in terms of talent, but he was entertaining to say the least, and by far one of my favourties.

I didn't watch much ECW during it's heyday, and there may have been better stars, but those 3 were my favourites and maybe Sabu could be added to that. I didn't really get into guys like Taz, Dreamer, Rhino, Dudley Boys, etc. at the time.
