The Undertaker vs Brock Lesnar – (Hell In A Cell) – No Mercy 2002 I'm a fan of the Undertaker, but fuck me he KILLED the final minutes of this match. It has a great set-up with Undertaker coming in with an broken hand plastered up that he uses as a weapon and serves as a target for Lesnar, so already you've got great psycology that makes it stand out from all the other Hell In A Cell's. For the most part it is a great match, Undertaker brings alot of intensity and really lays the beat down on Lesnar (and Heyman lol) greatly. Lesnar's working on Taker's injured hand and ripping off the cast is inevitable but also a great focus in the match. My favourite part is when Taker is on the top rope and Lesnars swings from the top of the Cell kicking Taker in the head. But it all goes downhill from there as Taker hangs on to the top of the Cell with HIS BROKEN HAND before giving Lesnar and elbow drop. If only he had used his other hand that would have been a great spot. I can forgive him for punching Lesnar with the broken hand as he makes it look like it hurts (up until this point his selling has been very good) but to chokeslam Lesnar with the broken hand and to make the cut-throat sign with it is just ridiculous. Undertaker brings alot to the match, but also takes alot away from it at a vital point. And this is coming from one of his biggest fans. Great match killed by total failure selling at the end. ****1/2

4 1/2 i think is way over rating it. It was one of the better HIAC but i would give it no more than three. I havent seen the match recently so i may be forgetting bits of it but from what i remember it was only a good match as in a *** rating.

Well up until Undertaker's selling started failing all over it, it looked like it was going to be the best Hell In A Cell ever. It didn't break down into pointless spots like previous ones and focused on the psycology of Undertaker's weakness also being his biggest advantage. Plus at the time you had the backstory of "could anyone stop Lesnar?"
I'd say it's the seond best HIAC ever after Michaels/Taker, and probably better than half the other HIAC's put together.

I used to have the DVD to this event but I don't know where it went. Anyway, I think you maybe have overrated this match, but I think God underrated it. I think it was a very solid **** star match as it was just as brutal as most the Hell in a Cell matches but featured better wrestling than most of them.
The Age Of The Fall vs The Motor City Machine Guns - Tag Wars 2008 First things first, the Briscoes match fucking owns this match. That said, it is a very good match, I'll talk about the positives first. There was a lot of fun and exciting sequences throughout the match. I know some people will be like "ohnoes MoVoeZ~!", but it never gets ridiculous or over the top and the match flows smoothly. Tyler continues to impress, putting out a great effort with his selling and offence, and Jacobs who usually bores me brings alot to this match too with some good heel work. The Shelley/Jacobs parts were also alot of fun, if nothing special. But whilest you have Tyler being awesome and the Shelley/Jacobs hate, Sabin is kinda just... there. That brings me to the negatives, I just couldn't get int the Guns as faces. They seemed to be doing everything right, but I just didn't care. It felt as if the only reason they were faces was because everyone hates Jacobs and because they do loads of flashy moves. The match also had alot less structure to it than the Briscoes match. In the Briscoes match, you had 5-10 minutes feeling out process with the chain wrestling and antics, then the Briscoes dominated with great tag wrestling (cutting the ring in half, quick tags) before the Guns took over and did the same then the match broke down into a frenzy. This match seemed to have about 5 minutes of chai wrestling and antics before breaking down too quickly imo. Great exciting match, but hardly flawless. ****

So the DVD finally came out here and watching this after the HOF induction gives it another level. Even the simple interview beforehand 'My game plan? To be the man, woooo' is must see. To keep things brief, not only an excellent wrestling match but most likely the best story ever told in a ring. *****
