Yes, straight out of Futurama before you accuse.
Similar to the thread that was in WWE for a while but not the same.
Example: None of: What if Wrestler A went to ECW tomorrow?
Instead: What if Ron Simmons knew he had charisma before he was retired?
Now onto the actual thread. Backstory:
Back in 1992(ish) Ron Simmons was rising to the top of WCW. He won the WCW world title but yet got zero reaction from the fans because he was as boring as hell in interview segments.
He would drop that title to Vader then fall back into midcard for the remainder of his stay.
He debuted in WWE as a gladiator. It didnt work.
He became the leader of the Nation of Domination but was outshined by the future Rock.
He then became one half of the Acoloytes with the future JBL. After a moderatly successful run they became the APA. Simmons was again outshined in interviews this time by Bradshaw. Simmons arsenal consisted largely of the word Damn.
After the breakup of the APA Simmons would dissapear from TV & become a road agent after quitely retiring.
In 2006 he would return to TV but only rarely do anything other than stand in the background.
In 2007, he feuded with Santino Marella & for some reason became one of the more popular wrestlers in WWE despite rarely if ever wrestling or straying away from words ending in -am.
Question:
What If Ron Simmons had shown the charisma he has recently, would his title reign then have made him one of the top talents for years to come?
