Which Wrestlers have you met and what were they each like?

I've always been very interested in knowing how some professional wrestlers are with their fans in real life. Some I'm sure are smug and stuck up douches but I know there are some who are friendly and outgoing. I've met a wide variety of wrestlers and there are some who stand out more than others when it comes to personality. Please discuss!

Nicest: John Cena (It was back in 2004 when he was the United States Champion). He was a really really nice dude. Very personable and outgoing. He used my marker to sign the autographs. It was at a small non televised event in my town. Rey Mysterio was just awesome. I met him in an airport in Winnipeg Manitoba. He seemed very happy to meet everybody and took his time to sign autographs and take pictures with everyone. Eddie Guerrero was very soft spoken but was extremely polite and happy to meet me, as was Chavo Guerrero. Remember the diva Candice Michelle? Yeah, she was a sweetheart and gave me a hug right off the bat. It was awesome and I may of pitched a tent. Christian, like others was pretty quiet but was polite enough and actually held a short conversation with me about his tight travel schedule after he signed my shirt. Road Dogg Jesse James was awesome and I actually got to spend a few hours with him. I have helped set up two WWE events (both non televised, but still awesome) and one indy promotion called CWE. Road Dogg was a part of CWE and it was held in an old casino/bingo hall in my town. I'm not going to lie but I actually smoked a couple joints with him and a couple of the other wrestlers in the business. Booker T was super nice. He was laughing and joking with everyone but I'm convinced he was baked.

    Rudest/Briefest: Randy Orton
was a complete douche. When he got out of his car at the event, he ignored everyone and walked into the arena with no response to screaming fans. When he came out at the end, he walked up to Mysterio (This was the second time I met Mysterio), while Rey was signing autographs, asked him for the keys to the car. Got them and went and sat in the car the entire time the other guys interacted with fans.

Rob Van Dam was very brief and didn't seem interested in anybody around him. He shook my hand but he didn't smile or look at me. He was even looking away when he did it.. I had to laugh at the fact that he was wearing tight jean shorts and an unbuttoned red silk spiderman shirt with nothing under it. In a freakin' airport.

Renee Dupree literally only said "Sup" as he was looking down at a stack of money he was counting while standing in line at an airport. Didn't look up or smile.

Bob "Hardcore" Holly was outright rude. He got out of his car at an event and when fans asked him to come over for autographs he looked at everyone like we had two heads and simply said "No" then turned around and walked into the arena.

John Morrison and Joey Mercury were the absolute worst. There was a 10 year old overweight handicapped boy at the event, waiting outside amongst the crowd (He was standing beside me). When I say handicapped, I don`t mean completely out of it. I mean he was slow. When Morrison and Mercury got out of their car, the boy asked them flat out to sign his magazine. Mercury said "Got a pen?" The kid presented a pen..Mercury took it and threw it across the parking lot while the kid looked stunned. Morrison then said right to his face "Go pick up your pen, fat ass".

Please share your possible horror stories with the world!

    • Undertaker/Mark Calaway twice - Met him once outside the arena before a live show, was really personable, extremely polite and just a hell of a guy. The second time was just by chance in a local market about 3 months after the 1st meeting, literally almost ran into him, and what do you know he remembered me. When I asked him how he remembered me, he responded with 'your tattoos'. So begin a long conversation on tats. We talked long enough that his milk got hot and he had to go get another container.
    • Stone Cold - met him at the local arena after a show and he was super nice as well.
    • Triple H - an absolute ****ing prick.
    • Mick Foley - traveled to an out of state event and he just so happened to be there. Super nice to the point that I thought he was trying to hard.
    • Edge - was back in the 'ministry' days and got lucky and found both Edge and Christian hanging out back of the arena just having a conversation before the show so I went up and chatted it up with the legends. Was a bit hard to follow their accent which I told them about but they returned the favor and let me know my Irish twang was equally as hard. Which we all three had a good laugh about.
    • Christian - obviously same as Edge above.
Probably more but its been a while since I've went to an event but Triple H is the only one from memory that stands out to being a USDA prick.

Tiger Woods v 1.0 was great but Tiger 2.0 is SHIT. That is all. Rory for Prez Fowler for Vice Prez and Luke Donald can suck my balls. MTF

Mick Foley - same as above, really nice and tries to have a conversation even though there are a load of people that he needs to sign gear for.

Nathan Jones - met him at an indy show a couple of times (didn't remember me) cool guy, seemed to enjoy working small halls even though he couldn't wrestle for ****.

Ivory - more natural charisma and charm than anybody I've ever talked to. she was 48/47 at the time and us lot all 30 years younger than her were hanging off her every word. Just ****ing hot.

Big John Studd and Earthquake - long time ago, Studd was cool and talked to people, Earthquake had a lot more people around him and less time to interact with fans but I couldn't say anything bad about him.

Wow, some great stories. Those named above as "douches" doesn't surprise me at all. Randy and HHH kind of have this reputation anyway. Not really surprised at Bob Holly. As for M&M do you think they were just selling themselves as heels? Ie. doing it in character. I don't think anyone would be THAT nasty for the sake of it.

I unfortunately haven't met any wrestlers which is a great shame. I met Wee man in Vegas once but that's another story.

Has anyone met The Rock? I imagine he would be the nicest guy to meet.
Shit.....You shoot me in a dream, you better wake up and apologize.

Although that's nothing to do with you being a big Rock fan

I'm more than a Rock fan. He was the reason I started watching wrestling. I owe a lot to him for the years of entertainment. It was Rock that made me fall in love with wrestling and my love and respect for the history and present day product has just exploded ever since.

But in terms of actually meeting him I wonder if he is as nice in person as he seems to be on tv/film. Does he actually take tiem out to spend with fans or does he just flash his smile and keep walking? What is he REALLY like?

Doug Williams: Very nice man indeed. We didn't even talk about Wrestling, we just had a general conversation about football and the weather. He's one of those people that live on your street and even though you're not that close, you can still talk to. He's a really cool dude.

Re: Which Wrestlers have you met and what were they each like?

I wanted to mention that I met the Undertaker once but I would kind of be lying. He shook my hand in a crowd but there was far too many people trying to do the same thing so I don't even think he noticed who he was meeting. Nothing bad to say about him. At least he was interacting. A couple other douches I met that are kind of lower names are Scotty 2 Hottie and Devon Dudley. Both were very ignorant and refused to sign autographs. Devon actually went as far to flip off everyone yelling for him. Paul London was really nice. Very very friendly and pleased to meet everyone. Johnny Stamboli (not sure if many remember him)..He was pretty cool. Didn't stick around much to sign and meet but he was nice enough. Billy Gunn was kind of brief but he agreed to a picture and smiled in the picture. Other than that he seemed like he really didn't want to be where he was. This was in the same setting I met Road Dogg. I also met Gangrel in the same setting and he also agreed to a picture but was a little nicer than Gunn. I met Bushwhacker Luke at an indy event. He was really really nice and I have a picture of him with his hands wrapped around my throat, giving the cross eyed, tongue out face. I also met Nunzio and Big Vito at a house show for WWE. They signed my shirt and were very nice. Kenzo Suzuki and his wife were another one I met in an airport. They were really nice but their english was horrid so the conversation was rather light. Nova (Rico) was another one I met. He was really nice until fans started making fun of his skin tight purple t shirt he had on, then he shook his head and walked to the back. I kind of felt bad for him because he was really putting forth an effort to interact with his fans and just got dumped on in the process. I think that may be everyone I've met..Can't really think of anyone else at the moment.
