Personally I think he would have to be the biggest asshole of a joke on any TV. The guy is just an arrogent dick. So many fine moments as not doing the job for HBK, and worsely Orton at SummerSlams, winning the Undisputed Title in 03, sympathising with OJ Simpson, and telling his son Nick the guy he put in a vegitated state had it coming.
Seriously how can one man be such a horribly selfish prick?
-Not doing Jobs even at like 75
- Hinting that he seriously is wanting to Kill his wife
-Nearly puts Vince Mcmahon is prison
-Tells Nick that the guy he pretty much killed had it coming from God
-Whores the name WWE gave him out for money, thinking he's the reason for 'Hulkamanina"
-Refusing to work shows without unreasonable pay offs, even though he's been in the buisness long enough to know thats being a dick
-Pretty much destroying WCW
- Anyone who has watched Hogan Knows Best will get he is just an unpleasent guy.
So where do you stand on this guy?, now coming to TNA, which he will probably demand the championship. Do you think he earned the right to suck so hard now back in the 1980s? or are you on my side of the fence?
- Hinting that he seriously is wanting to Kill his wife
I forgot about this. Definitely hate worthy

He was (assumingly) telling the truth under oath, lying would be stupid.

He can get the payoffs, most popular wrestler of all time. Why settle for less than what he can get. Now if you are saying he backed out of shows he agreed to because he didn't like the payoff, then I agree with you

He is the most likeable member of his family in my opinion
Now I continually have and will rip on Hogan for being a politicing Orange Goblin with a penchant for exxageration (Andre was 645 pounds and the slam was a shoot), an untalented daughter, horrible driver of a sun, girlfriend that looks like his daughter, limited vocabulary (BROTHER!!!) and receding hairline BUT I am a huge Hulk Hogan fan. I mark out as hard as anyone when he appears on screen. I have a Hulk Hogan pillowcase on my bed (I have had it since I was 3). Hulk Hogan is my hero

From reading what Silver Savior posted, watched a few Hogans Knows Best episodes and his backstage politics, I dislike him more than any wrestler in history. It has to be all about him and his continuous fame for the wrong reasons. He never wants to leave the celebrity spotlight that Vince McMahon Sr. and his son gave him in the WWE. Sure he's one of the most popular wrestlers ever, but he'll do whatever he can to get as much exposure, refusing to job, have his face on every merchandise, so people can mooch off of his off-camera arrogance.

I can't stand guys like Hulk who need to come back again and again and again when they don't need the money. It's the young guys who need the money. Not to mention it's all about them and no one else.

He very rarely pushes the young, promising superstars that needs the torch to be passed by wrestlers like him. He doesn't want to job to young superstars.

And yet it's people like Hogan who can bring company far more money than the young guys can.
Hogan is someone who can be very frustrating to deal with, yet he deserves a certain amount of respect.
The guy made two major companies a lot of money. Without Hogan, I doubt the WWE could have went national in the 80's. Skip ahead a decade and Hogan's the reason why WCW finally made a profit and for a time was the biggest company in the world. Despite what strong haters would like to believe, Hogan has put over some wrestlers when he didn't need to. He lost cleanly to the Rock at Wrestlemania, tapped out (Something I can't remember him EVER doing before as a face) to Kurt Angle at King of the Ring and allowed Brock Lesnar to destroy him without getting in any real offense in that short lasting feud. For the ones who he didn't put over, did he really need to? Just being in the ring with Hogan was easily one of Orton's biggest moments. He even had the fuck up Hogan spot where Hogan didn't get his leg on the rope in time, but the ref still counted it. A lot of fans will go to shows if they know Hogan is on it. That's why he gets put over, it's what the fans want. Take Necro for example, he said he was going to watch iMPACT tonight just to see Hogan. Finally, it's that same appreciation from the fans that was the reason why he was given the World title back in 2002 in the first place. He was never meant to win the title. But once Vince realized how over he was, they wanted to capitalize on it for a short reign.
At the same time though, Hogan has his problems. At Wrestlemania 9, he held Vince McMahon up according to some sources. He was either going to get the title by the end of the night (With the purpose to drop it to Bret at Summerslam) or he wouldn't wrestle in his tag match (With Brutus vs Money Inc). Hogan got his wish, but he reneged on his deal to put Bret over. That was an especially messed up move since the WWE had been working so hard at getting new guys over after he left at Wrestlemania 8, that they were forced to start over.
You could probably add Hogan's power abuse to the negative paragraph, but to be fair, he can't abuse his power unless someone gives him some.
Without a doubt, Hogan is a huge asset to any company (Whether he's still a huge help after the horrible press he had in recent years is still up in the air), but that is also the problem. Hogan's biggest problem is that he knows he's a major asset.

To be fair Jim I would say the jobs you mentioned constitute the bare minimum. It would have been a fucking travesty if he'd gone over Angle or Rock in 2002, so I hardly think he deserves any credit for that any more than anyone deserves credit for actually doing what they're supposed to.
I would argue that he DID need to put those guys over.

Like I said though, it would have been a joke had Hogan won. A guy pushing 50 from a previous era in wrestling coming in and going over some of the brightest stars in the company would be pretty lol.

You had Angle, the lower heel taking on the face Hogan, one of the biggest stars of all time who was just champion. It wouldn't have been a joke at all. Any kind of win, even dirty, would of been a surprise and a huge moment for Kurt.
