It was meant to seem like a mistake. But just think of the booking. The number 1 contender's spot for Wrestlemania 15 was on the line. One way or another, Austin was going to win. But the way they did it, they can still get money for an Austin/McMahon 2 since the winner wasn't clean. Not to mention having Austin win that way still made Show look impressive. Having Show debut only to have Austin stun him or something so he could win, really deflates Show's debut.

Taz's debut in WWE is one of my favorites ever. Choking out Angle and pretty much man handling him at the Rumble in MSG was an awesome site and he got a massive pop.
Jericho's comes to mind as well. It's easy to have a great debut when you get to work with the Rock in a back and forth on the stick.
Lastly, I'm going to go old school with another one of my favorite debuts. Nailz's debut on superstars (i just watched it recently) was pretty damn awesome. He came running through the crowd and beat the living hell out of the Bossman and Perfect on the announcing talking about how he could hear his leg snap and all that was great. It was very well done and different for that time period to have somebody get brutalized like that.
Also another great debut that I just thought of was the return of the Ultimate Warrior at Wrestlemania 8. His music hitting and him running down that long ass ramp and Heenan yelling at the top of his lungs "its the ultimate warrior" is just awesome. 1992 was such a great year

Nailz WWE career may have been a huge bust from the moment he wrestled his first match, but the debut was beautifully done. Especially at that time, seeing such a brutal beat down wasn't common. Add in the fact that Boss Man was a top guy at the time (Well, at least the previous year he was), it was all more impressive. I'll give the WWE credit for being smart enough to keep Boss Man off of TV for a few months to sell the attack.

The Demon in WCW. Not a very good wrestler or really a good gimmick however, to have one of the biggest bands in the world introduce you and debut you is fairly special.
Here it is with the Tony intro too To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.

Jericho's debut was awesome! It has to be my favorite. I remember liking CM Punk's debut, but, that was the only time I ever saw it. Undertaker's is second to me, right behind Jericho's.
