If you check out his website, he's giving an open invitation to Shane McMahon to be his tag team partner in Japan. To view links or images in this forum your post count must be 20 or greater. You currently have 0 posts.
His most recent look as of October 10th:

He seems to be pretty busy working in Japan, Europe, Mexico and Canada. He's apparently scheduled to be a part of a AWR tour in Europe next month. Bret Hart and some other names are supposed to be on it too. Rene was a guy with so much potential and decent skills, but the WWE gave up on him too soon. Maybe it's just that he was hired too soon. He's definitely someone I can see the WWE eventually rehiring.

If that's his reason I think he jumped the boat. Expected a bit too much.
Being such a young guy on the roster you can't really expect to be main eventing and things like that. He'd had injuries and didn't really impress as much as a singles star.
By the time they changed him back to a tag team guy with La Resistance, it was too late and WWE was no longer interested in tag teams, especially on ECW.
Well WWE pushed him pretty hard in 2004 and nobody really cared, FiFi was probably more over. I think most people wanted Cena to feud with either Booker or RVD before Dupree.
I don't think somebody with as much breast tissue as Dupree would become a viable main eventer. Seriously, he had A cups on top of his perctorals.
I think he would've become a Shelton Benjamin type, only without the ability to perform an impressive bump here and there. He would've just been filling roster space if he hadn't been released.

I can remember his JDay match with Cena being alright, but I suppose he just didn't impress enough. But as others have said, he's young, and still has plenty of time to develop. Glad to hear he's working regularly all over the world though.

He was a part in a 5 vs 5 elimination match in HUSTLE last month that I checked out and he looked really awesome. Stiff looking slaps and chops, took a big bump on the outside, bladed really well and took some really spectacular comedy bumps. I would love to see them try to re-sign him but I don't think it's gonna happen. I always liked Dupree though, really a fun, charismatic heel who didn't really do much wrong. I really liked his match with Cena from Judgement Day 2004.
