Bret and its not even close. I love Owen, but I cannot understand how anyone can say he is better than Bret in the ring. The only thing I would give Owen is mic work and charisma but thats it. Bret had better matches, carried more people, was in more important matches. Its no suprise that Owen's best match was against Bret at Wrestlemania 10
Despite being a quality wrestler, Owen wasn't nearly as good as Bret. The simple way to defend that opinion is think of the best Owen matches ever. Now, remove all of the ones with Bret. How many truly great ones are you left with? Off of the top of my head, I can think of:
Owen Hart and The British Bulldog vs Shawn Michaels and Steve Austin - Raw 1997
Owen Hart vs The British Bulldog - European Title Finals in Germany Raw 1997
Owen Hart vs Shawn Michaels - In Your House 6

Bret. He mainevented Wrestlemanias and won world titles. On the other hand Owen is best known for A) Being Bret's brother and B) dying. So it's pretty clear who's the bitch there. I hate to be that blunt but it's true.

Booked accomplishments definitely indicate who is the superior wrester, I agree.

Owen had more charisma and was loads more entertaining but he was very sloppy and uninspired at times.
Hate to be pedantic, but in my book, if Owen was "loads more entertaining" then he was the better of the two considering the aim of wrestling is to entertain.
