What are your thoughts on this feud between Savage and Page in 1997? 1997 itself was a great year for wrestling particularly feuds. Im a pretty big fan of this one, it reminded me a lot of the Bret/Austin feud in which an established veteran (Bret and Randy) passes the torch to a new guy (DDP and Austin). Plus their matches were entertaining brawls and were also believable in making you feel the hate much like Bret/Austin

Hands down my favorite WCW feud of 1997. It's one of the few examples where the nWo angle helped someone other than a nWo member. The feud made DDP a star. Without it, I don't see Page ever winning the World title or being one of the bigger WCW stars.

I've seen them praised all over, but havent got round to watching them all. I saw the Street Fight from the GAB and liked Page a lot in it but Savage annoyed the shit out of me in it. He wasted so much time and it felt too much like one of those lame hardcore title matches. I also hated how Page came in with bandaged ribs and Savage didn't go for them once the whole match. It was decent but I guess they had better.

I do remember him going after the ribs, he rips of Page's bandages and starts kicking his ribs. I loved Savage's performance in this match, he backed up his 'madness' character at the time, even beating up the referees.

Anyway check out these two: Street Fight - Great American Bash 97 and Las Vegas Death Match - Halloween Havoc 97, there's also a steel cage match from Nitro but I can't remember the date.

only in 2001 but ive still heard of there other main feuds like Hogan v Sting just suprised i hadnt even none they ever feuded

To be honest, I'm not surprised you haven't heard of the feud Goldberg. There was a lot of things going on in WCW in 1997 so it's easily forgettable when compared to Sting vs Hogan build-up and match, Mysterio vs Guerrero 5 star match, Bret Hart joining, ect.
